Update on Hepatitis C claims regarding Butcher

In the 9/24 issue of Maclean’s magazine, a top Canadian news magazine, did a story on Devon Nicholson and his issues with Abdullah the Butcher claiming Butcher gave him Hepatitis C when blood was spilled in the ring costing him a deal with WWE. The magazine noted that attorneys for Butcher filed a defense motion last week saying that Nicholson was “the person who set up the matches and consented to being cut” and that Nicholson is responsible for his Hepatitis C due to “his own negligence.” Butcher at one point stated he would send blood test results to prove he was clean, but has yet to do so. He later said that if he does provide blood tests that show he has Hepatitis C, that he contracted it from Nicholson and didn’t carry it to begin with.
