Wrestling Star Appears on ABC’s Home Makeover

(Greensboro, GA) – Pro Wrestling Superstar and Gold Metal Shot Putter Tampa, FL based Steve Chamberland helped a 9-year-old Georgia girl secure a free prosthetic leg after she saved her younger sisters life. Chamberland also managed to get the girl’s family a home makeover.

On October 9, 2011 Chamberland and WWE Legend “The Mouth of the South” Jimmy Hart will appear on ABC’s Home Makeover show with Anaiah Rucker as they completely transform the girl’s home into a dream place to live making it handicap friendly.

Chamberland worked with Mark Logue, CPO of Clearwater Brace and Limb, to secure a prosthetic leg for 9-year-old Anaiah Rucker. The Georgia girl lost her leg and a kidney as she saved her five-year-old sister from being hit by a car.

Anaiah’s story has touched the hearts of Americans everywhere for her bravery and unselfish act to save her young sisters life. The story caught the attention of the Today Show, and other top national shows; including the eye of Chamberland who knows what this young girl is going through.

Chamberland lost his leg in a motorcycle accident. Like other’s he knows all too well how hard it is to perform daily tasks, and the extraordinary cost of the prosthetics. Knowing it was twice as hard for a child; Chamberland went out of his way to help.

“Securing the leg and helping her regain a normal daily routine is part 1” says Chamberland and adds “the next step is making sure she can be mobile and independent through her home. I am so pleased that ABC decided to help this amazing young girl and her family in a time of need”.

Now you can watch as the “Home Makeover” with Chamberland and Heart turn this little girls upside down life back right side up and allow her to be independent as she once was.
