Nicholson wins lawsuit against Abdullah the Butcher

CBC Sports in Canada is reporting that Canadian independent wrestler Devon Nicholson has won his lawsuit against WWE Hall of Famer Abdullah the Butcher (Larry Shreeve) per a judge’s ruling early Tuesday morning. The judge ruled that Shreeve must pay Nicholson $2.3 million in damages. Nicholson sued Shreeve in 2011 after claiming he contracted Hepatitis C from Shreeve during a match against each other in 2007 where Shreeve bladed Nicholson without his consent. Shreeve has publicly denied since that he has Hepatitis C and now has 30 days to appeal the judge’s ruling. Nicholson is currently in remission from Hepatitis C after undergoing a number of experimental treatments.
