10/13 New Japan “King of Pro Wrestling” iPPV Results: Tokyo, Japan (Sumo Hall)

1. Kota Ibushi, Tomoaki Honma, Yuji Nagata & Togi Makabe def. The Bullet Club (IWGP Tag Team Champions Karl Anderson & Doc Gallows, Bad Luck Fale & Tama Tonga)

2. NWA Jr. Champion Chase Owens w/Bruce Tharpe def. BUSHI to retain the title. Afterwards. Tharpe challenged Liger to face Owens for the title. Liger came out and accepted. 

3. The Killer Elite Squad (Lance Archer & Davey Boy Smith Jr.) def. NWA Tag Team Champions TenCozy (Satoshi Kojima & Hiroyoshi Tenzan) to win the titles after Kojima accidentally lariated Tenzan. Afterwards, Tenzan & Kojima got into a shoving match.

4. Toru Yano & Kazushi Sakaruba def. Minoru Suzuki & Takashi Iizuka

5. IWGP Jr. Tag Champions The Time-Splitters (Alex Shelley & KUSHIDA) def. The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) & The Forever Hooligans (Alex Koslov & Rocky Romero) to retain the titles.

6. IWGP Jr. Champion Ryusuke Taguchi def. El Desperado to retain the title. Taichi & TAKA attacked Taguchi afterwards.

7. Tomohiro Ishii def. NEVER Champion Yujiro Takahashi to win the title.

8. Katsuyori Shibata & Hirooki Goto def. IWGP Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura & YOSHI-HASHI. Nakamura & Shibata had a staredown afterwards.

9. Kazuchika Okada def. Tetsuya Naito to retain his G1 Rights. 

10. Hiroshi Tanahashi def. IWGP Champion AJ Styles w/Jeff Jarrett to win the title. Jarrett interfered towards the end when the ref was knocked down, but Naofumi Yamamoto (Yoshi Tatsu) ran in and cleared the ring of Jarrett, leading the way for Tanahashi to win. 

With the win, Tanahashi becomes IWGP Champion for a record-breaking seventh time, passing Tatsumi Fujinami’s six reigns as IWGP Champion. Afterwards, Okada came out and he & Tanahashi had a staredown to close the show.
