Japanese wrestling legend set to retire later this year

Daily Sports in Japan is reporting that Japanese wrestling legend Genichiro Tenryu will be retiring later this year. Tenryu, 65, underwent major back surgery and was described as not being the same in the ring ever since returning.

His career included time with All Japan and several territories in the United States in the 1970s. Tenryu is most known for his feud with Jumbo Tsuruta in the 80s and headlined big stadium events with Nobuhiko Takada, Antonio Inoki, Riki Choshu and Hulk Hogan.
