Crowd funding for book on history of New Japan

New Japan Pro Wrestling is arguably at it’s highest point in the companies long and storied history. A lot of that has to do with it’s recent new found success in America with the great AXSTV series as well as the Wrestling Kingdom PPV earlier this year and the launch of their NewJapanWorld Network online. Wrestlers like Shinsuke Nakamura and KUSHIDA have become huge hits with American wrestling fans and as American intersting in NJPW has hit an all time high British writer and Live Audio Wrestling co-host Chris Charlton launched an Indiegogo page in hopes of funding a book that would cover New Japan’s entire history.

Within literally days Charlton reached his $6,200 goal proving just how much interest English speaking fans have in New Japan. With over a month left in the books funding stage Charlton hopes to be able to reach the $9,200 level which will allow for a special hardcore edition of the book to be produced. If the funding reaches $7,200 an extra chapter will be added to the book soley focusing on NJPW’s recent international success. Currently the project stands at $6,880 with $35 of that coming from yours truly.

The book has several different donation levels from $1 all the way to $2,500 with various prizes including digital copies of the book, hard copies of the book, limited prints of the cover art, among other things.
