CM Punk suffers shoulder injury, UFC debut postponed

Brett Okamoto of ESPN.com is reporting that Phil “CM Punk” Brooks has suffered a shoulder injury according to his trainer Duke Roufus and will be sidelined for several weeks as a result. The former WWE star tweaked his shoulder during a scramble in training and is scheduled to meet with doctors on 10/14 to be cleared for a return to training.

Brooks, 36, announced his signing with the UFC last December and has been training for nearly a year preparing for his mixed martial arts debut in Milwaukee. Roufus stated that Punk is around six to 10 months away from making his official UFC debut. His debut will now be reevaluated with this recent shoulder injury taking place.
