Jeff Hardy free on bail and comments

We can now confirm that former WWE star Jeff Hardy is now free on bail following his arrest earlier today for a number of drug charges. His bail was set at $125,000 and while Deputy Neil Godfrey of the Moore County Sheriff’s Department in Cartage, North Carolina stated that Hardy was bailed out by his brother Matt Hardy today, Jeff Hardy is claiming the opposite writing the following on Twitter: “For the record, Matt didn’t bail me out, loan me money, or is his name on anything. He’s just learning about today’s situation.”

This isn’t the only Twitter update provided by Jeff today as he wrote the following earlier: “Alot of exaggerations are out there today, don’t believe everything you read 4 it is not true, I am at home and fine-thanks for your concern.” A number of media outlets have picked up on the story including TMZ which has a story at this link. It doesn’t appear the Associated Press has picked up the story as of this evening.

The official press release from Moore County Sheriff’s Office can be read at this link where it is revealed that the estimated street value of the drugs seized was $2,500.
