Pro Wrestling Guerrilla posted the following on Twitter on Monday, announcing that former WWE star Cody Rhodes is the first entrant in their annual Battle of Los Angeles tournament that takes place every August in Reseda, California, featuring the top independent names in the US and internationally:

Rhodes will wrestle his first match since leaving WWE on August 19 in Maryland for EVOLVE.
