Kurt Angle says he took 65 Vicodin a day at one point

During an appearance on The Dan Le Batard Show on ESPN Radio this week, former WWE and TNA star Kurt Angle revealed he had been taking up to 65 extra-strength Vicodin per day at the height of his addiction problems during his wrestling career.

“I was on a lot — there was no way I couldn’t get out of it. The only thing I could do was eventually go to rehab and try to fix my life again. But I actually beat it on my own. I stayed in my house for about 10 days and didn’t leave, and I was able to get through the withdrawal.”

Angle, who said he has been clean and sober for the last three years, also talked about his issues with alcohol shortly after he signed with TNA in 2006.

“The thing is, everybody drank down there (in TNA). So I started drinking with my meds. And then I started manipulating my meds. I would save all of them until the evening, and drink it with alcohol. And it got me in a lot of trouble — four DUIs in five years.

Bubba Ray Dudley’s first post-WWE appearance

Bubba Ray Dudley, being billed under his former TNA name of Bully Ray, will be making his first post-WWE appearance for Pro Wrestling Mass in Watertown, Massachusetts tonight.

As reported earlier, Bubba Ray finished up with WWE following SummerSlam back in August after deciding to part ways with company after a one year run.
