Review for new “Mildred Burke” book

Harmony Jackson (Sunday Night Showdown and co-host of “Divas On Demand”) sent this in:

Mildred Burke book

She was the Women’s Wrestling Champion for 19 years, dominated the women’s wrestling scene for over 2 decades, and was called one of wrestling’s sure fire draws. Now some 5 decades later, Mildred Burke’s life will be chronicled in a new biography.

Following her from carnival days to triumphs in Japan, and everywhere in between, to her personal life with her miserable marriage to her manager Billy Wolfe, and he life after wrestling as a trainer, promoter, and adult film distributer. Jeff Leen’s “Queen of the Ring; Sex, Muscles, Diamonds, and the making of an American Legend” appears to be well worth the read, and will be something this women’s wrestling fan will definitely be picking up.
