Here are some of the highlights of Glenn & Ashley’s interview, provided by The Mayhem’s correspondent, Paterson From New Jersey:

Glenn & Ashley were welcomed back to The Mayhem by The Big Mosh, Blade, & Todd Vincent (MNM’s Senior Show Correspondent) for the gang’s first appearance on the program since the end of Season II.

The second season of “Brooke Knows Best” has officially begun. Indeed much as happened already, and we are only two episodes in so far. The Mayhem Crew asked both Glenn & Ashley for their outlook on the new campaign of BKB. “You get to see the fun & adventures that we always have, but this time around actually you’re going to see a lot more drama, you’re going to see a lot of tears, and you’re actually going to see some love along the way too,’ says Glenn. ‘Along with our careers & what we doing in our careers. It’s actually a really great season, I’m proud of this season.” Ashley added, “I think a lot of the first season was Brooke spreading her wings, and leaving the nest from Mom & Dad, and obviously between first & second season, a lot happened with the family as far as the divorce goes & Nick’s situation. We actually addressed that in the second season, which I think the fans wanted to see from Brooke’s point of view, and that was the first episode. From there, her family dynamic changed, and her life is changing, and you see she has Glenn & myself as amazing roommates.”

The latest episode entitled “I Kissed A Girl” had both Brooke & Ashley go on dates with the same sex (which Glenn states that all of the male members of “The Mayhem Nation” probably love him for coming up with that particular idea), and Glenn going on a date with a female. The end of the night resulted in goodnight kisses, in which Brooke & Ashley actually kissed girls. “Our kisses were great. I give Brooke props, because she was the one least excited about it, and she ended up laying it on her girl.”

With the inundation of reality programming over the past decade, many fans believe that a large portion of reality television shows are scripted & fake. This particular topic was brought up to Glenn & Ashley about being reality stars & their takes on how real reality is. Glenn started, “We get that a lot, but I’m a real person, and we get thrown into these situations, and we have to act like what would act like. And when Brooke started to talk to me about dating girls, I really thought she was crazy. You were seeing what was going on. There’s hours & hours of talking, but they edited it down to seconds. What you see is little bits & pieces, but we talked for a long time about all of that.” Ashley added, “These are things we really do talk about. Brooke really has asked Glenn “What about girls?” just like my mom has asked Glenn & Glenn’s mom has asked Glenn. Some things may be played up more for the cameras, but these are things we discuss.”

Like on most reality shows, doors do open up for those on reality television. “Being on the show has definitely opened up some doors & opportunities I have,’ says Glenn. ‘I have some exciting things happened, I do plan on directing, and there are some cool on the way.” And for Ashley: “As far as me, I’m 21, and I’m just enjoying the journey. I would love to continue in thins field whether it be on or off camera. But I actually plan on going to school for fashion merchandising & design, so that’s what I actually want to do as a career.” Glenn & Ashley revealed (as a Mayhem exclusive) that they are writing their own comic book with someone from Marvel Comics.

More is contained in this interview with the two stars of “Brooke Knows Best,” including Glenn & Ashley’s thoughts on reality television as a whole, Brooke Hogan’s upcoming album (and the work she/Glenn put into it), and what lies ahead on the second season of the show, as part of “The Summer Of Mayhem 2009.”
