“RING ROASTS 2: ALL FUNKED UP,” ANNOUNCED FOR OCTOBER 23

As the embers of Ring Roasts I has begun to cool, Kayfabe Commentaries and Legends of the Ring have officially announced “Ring Roasts 2: All Funked Up, A Comedic Tribute to Terry Funk.” The event will be held once again at the Crowne Plaza in Monroe, NJ on Friday night, October 23.

Thus far, the talent slated to appear, other than Funk, are Roastmaster Bill Apter, New Jack, Kevin Sullivan, Tammy Sytch, comic Ryan Maher, and Dennis Stamp is proud to announce that he is, in fact, booked. Ticket packages went on sale today at www.ringroasts.com.

Last October, Ring Roasts was officially launched as an annual comedic tribute to wrestlers, by wrestlers and comics alike. The first Ring Roast featured The Iron Sheik as the target. The event made national headlines and has since been heavily featured on mainstream programs like The Howard Stern Show and Opie and Anthony.

Kayfabe Commentaries co-owner Sean Oliver says that exposure will likely increase with Funk’s roast. “It’s was somewhat strategic positioning Ring Roasts I with The Iron Sheik as a crossover event with some of the casting. It was necessary to make the event and franchise a household name,” Oliver said.

“But now that we’ve done that, the event will ease into a more wrestling-oriented flavor. Terry Funk is the homerun choice for the guest of honor for Ring Roasts 2. And from the look on his face when I pitched him the idea over breakfast in December here in New York, he knows exactly what he’s in for!”

Ticket packages include a VIP PLUS package ($125) which includes a private one hour meet-and-greet, a commemorative poster for all talent to sign as well as a front row seat for the show, the VIP package ($100) which includes the meet-and-greet and the front row seat, and the STANDARD ticket to the show ($50).

Tickets are on sale now at www.ringroasts.com.
