WWE Sunday Night Heat
February 23, 2003
Hosted by: Jonathan Coachman and Lita

Welcome everyone to this special edition of Sunday Night Heat. Tonight Heat will be seen on TNN due to a scheduling conflict on MTV. Oh yeah, we’re only one hour away from No Way Out. I’ve heard lots of good and bad about this upcoming PPV, and I have to say that the card itself doesn’t look horrible. This will probably be a short review tonight as most of the show will be to hype the PPV, and we’ll probably get a freebie match at the end. Anyways, enough of that, let’s get on to the show.

The show opens with a recap of the build to the tactical masterpiece that will be the Undertaker vs. The Big Show

We just received confirmation from the Coach that the freebie match is going to be Rey Mysterio against Jamie Noble. Not a bad freebie I suppose.

Next they decide to replay the segment from Confidential last night about Curt Henning. I missed this last night, so I’m glad I’m getting to see it.

More buildup to the Triple H vs. Scott Steiner match is shown. I wonder what role Hunty Hunt and the Funky Bunch will play in this match.

Backstage, Chief Valboski is psyching up Bischoff (who is wearing a ninja outfit). Jericho shows up and tells Bischoff that he is willing to help him out when it comes to Austin. Jericho asks that HBK be banned from ringside for his match.

Now they are building up to the Austin vs. Bischoff match with some video highlights.

Backstage, Regal and Storm are being interviewed by Teri about their match tonight. Storm uses all of his personality to tell Teri that he and Regal are a great tag team.

Rey Mysterio vs. Jamie Noble (w/Nidia)

Michael Cole and Tazz are at ringside to call this one. some moron in the stands has a sign with his name on it - I can't read it clearly but it looked like Paul Nemer. Just kidding Paul! Nice sign!

Mysterio with a flying head scissors and then takes the action to the outside, where he hits another head scissors from the mat. Rey goes to the top rope, but is met with a Jamie Noble dropkick. Noble takes control with some technical mat maneuvers. Rey takes over and hits a spring board corkscrew high cross body off the top rope for a two count. Noble with an Electric Chair for a two count. Mysterio hits an Ensiguri which sets Noble up for a 619. Nidia interferes, but Noble accidently hits her with a spear. Rey hits the West Coast Pop for the three count.

No Way Out IS NEXT!
