VELOCITY RECAP

Jamie Noble w/Nidia vs. Shannon Moore
The two cruisers exchange some grappling maneuvers and slaps in the early going. Noble hits a suplex but then gets hiptossed into the turnbuckles. Shannon goes on the attack with some kicks, a back suplex and a running knee to the gut. He locks on the ever popular (and always ineffective) knee to the back submission hold and nails a spinning heel kick after Noble tried to get to his feet. Jamie finally gets something going with a clothesline and a powerslam. He tries for a Tiger Driver but Shannon flips him over his back and hits the Halo for a two count. Shannon gets caught using the ropes on a pin attempt, gets distracted by Nidia and then falls prey to Pay Dirt. The MF’er submits and it’s all over.

Flashback to Smackdown
Stephanie and Vince McMahon argue in the ring. Vince attacks his daughter and the Undertaker makes the save.

Sean O’Haire vs. Kevin Kreuger
O’Haire totally dominated this matchup with power moves and kicks. He won it with his finisher after a few minutes. During the match, you could see Josh Mathews in the background talking to a crew member, yet he somehow was announcing the match at the same time ….

Winner by pinfall: Sean O’Haire

Rhyno vs. Funaki
Funaki starts off hot with some chops, a spinning head scissors and a springboard high cross body. Rhyno flattens him with a clothesline and takes control with power moves. Smackdown’s #1 announcer hits an insuguri and a slapfest breaks out in the middle of the ring. Rhyno hits a belly-to-belly suplex but misses the gore. A bulldog by Funaki gets him a two count. The manbeast finishes off Funaki with a spinebuster and a gore.

Winner by pinfall: Rhyno

Flashback to Smackdown
They show the tag team main event match of Undertaker and Kurt Angle vs. Brock Lesnar and John Cena.

Rey Mysterio vs. Nunzio
Nunzio gains the early advantage with a clothesline and then drops Rey neck first over the ropes. The FBI leader works over Rey’s arm and hits Arriva Derci for a two count. Rey finally comes alive after a hurricanrana, hitting a sitting Senton, springboard high cross body and a reverse DDT. Nunzio hits a power bomb after pulling Rey off the turnbuckles and then counters a spinning leg scissors attempt into a face plant. Rey trips Nunzio into the ropes, nails the 6-1-9 and the springboard legdrop for the victory.
