- The show opened up with a highlight package from last week. Backstage before the show, Erik Watts was shown with many TNA stars. Watts announced that Jeff Jarrett can't get away with the things he is doing in TNA right now. Watts said he wasn't able to make the match between Jarrett and Sting a title match, but he did get the NWA Board of Directors to make Jarrett defend the title on the return show on January 7th. Watts said if Raven & The Gathering won tonight, Raven would get a title shot. AJ Styles & D'Lo Brown were upset about this seeing as they were in a Holiday Wish Match tonight, with the winner who got the pinfall getting the choice to get a title shot. Watts told them to just take care of tonight. America's Most Wanted showed their allegiance to Watts and left.
- A series of new graphics ran down the card for tonight.
- Jeff Jarrett and Don Callis came to the ring. Jarrett got on the mic and said he wouldn't be defending his title tonight against Sting like he said. Erik Watts came out with Goldylocks and argued with Jarrett, calling him Triple J. Watts told Jarrett that he might not be defending his title tonight, but he would be on January 7th. Jarrett said no one among the NWA Board of Directors likes him and he called Goldylocks a gold digger. Jarrett told Watts he was going to the back to relax before his match with Sting tonight. Watts told Jarrett he would have no time because the match starts now!
- Sting defeated Jeff Jarrett in a Non-Title Match when Sting gave Jarrett the Scorpion Death Drop for the pinfall. The match ended when Sting hit the Stinger Splash followed by locking on the Scorpion Deathlock. Red Shirt Security ran down, but America's Most Wanted ran down soon after to fight them off. Kid Kash came in from the crowd and handed Jarrett a guitar behind a distracted Sting. Jarrett got on his feet and looked to use it when AJ Styles jumped up on the ring apron and took it out of his hands and dropped his throat over the top rope, allowing Sting to hit the Death Drop for the win.
After the match, Jarrett became furious over the ending. Jarrett left the ring and started complaining with the TNA referees and everyone else at ringside. Jarrett even got in Don West and Mike Tenay's face. Jarrett got in a shoving contest with Tenay until it was broken up. Don Callis gave Jarrett his belt back and reminded him he was still the champ.
- Christopher Daniels defeated Chris Sabin when Elix Skipper ran down to the ring and tripped up Sabin, allowing Daniels to hit the Angel's Wing for the pin. After the match, Skipper walked up the ramp backwards and flashed the Triple X symbol with his arms, making his return to TNA. Daniels smiled back.
- Backstage, Jeff Jarrett yelled at Kid Kash for dropping the ball. Jarrett told the Red Shirts to get the job done tonight.
- America's Most Wanted (Chris Harris & James Storm) defeated Glen Gilberti & David Young in a Nashville Street Fight Match. The match ended when James Storm put David Young on a table on the outside of the ring and got up on the top rope. In the ring, Gilberti set up a ladder in the corner, Harris gave him a big spear in to the ladder and Storm jumped off the top rope and did a sommersault senton on Young, breaking the table into pieces. Storm covered Young for the 1, 2, 3.
After the match, Red Shirt Security ran down and handcuffed Chris Harris to the corner. Harris tried to fight back when James Storm came back in and looked to take out the Red Shirts until Jarrett knocked him out from behind. Kevin Northcutt picked up Storm and got him into a piledriver position while Legend jumped off the top rope and connected with the spike piledriver. The Red Shirts then went to the outside of the ring and held down Harris' legs, allowing Jarrett to knock out Harris with a guitar shot.
- Simon Diamond & Johnny Swinger defeated AJ Styles & D'Lo Brown in a Holiday Wish Match when both Diamond & Swinger hit the Problem Solver on Brown for the pin. The match ended when Styles and Brown had both Diamond & Swinger layed out. Brown went to the top rope and hit a Frog Splash while Styles went up to the top, but changed his jump from the ring to the outside when he saw Jeff Jarrett coming down. Styles missed Jarrett and Jarrett threw him over the guard rail. Back in the ring, Diamond & Swinger hit the Problem Solver for the win and announced that the wish they had was to get an NWA Tag Team Title shot.
- Backstage, Scott Hudson interviewed Low Ki. Ki told Shane he would become the new X Division Champion tonight. Elix Skipper walked up and said Triple X should reform. Ki told Skipper that Triple X was dead and walked away.
- Michael Shane w/ Traci defeated Low Ki to retain the X Division Title when Ki missed a splash off the top rope and Shane put his knees up, allowing Shane to put Ki into a small package for the 1, 2, 3 to retain the X Title. After the match, Ki tried to give Traci a Ki Krusher, but Shane broke it up. Ki kicked Shane down, but Shane Douglas ran out and took out Ki. Douglas got on the mic and talked about the "new era" of the Franchise. Elix Skipper ran down and stood above Ki, looking to take him out until he knocked out Douglas. Skipper ducked a Douglas clothesline and threw him out of the ring. Skipper and Douglas fought in the crowd while Daniels/Ki started to fight in the ring. Chris Sabin ran down and started fighting with Shane. TNA referees and security came down to break it up when Erik Watts came down and announced the Ultimate X II match. Watts said it would be Michael Shane vs. Christopher Daniels vs. Low Ki vs. Chris Sabin for the X Title on January 7th.
- Mike Tenay and Don West showed some US soldiers at ringside and congratulated them. West started a USA chant.
- Backstage, Scott Hudson was with Don Callis, Abyss and the Red Shirt Security. Jeff Jarrett interrupted and said Watts was getting in over his head with power and told them to get the job done tonight in the Steel Cage.
- Abyss & Red Shirt Security defeated Raven & The Gathering in a Steel Cage Match. Lots of brawling between all those involved. Pretty much everyone got opened up except for Abyss. Lots of weapons used during the match. The Red Shirts set up two stacked tables and put Julio Dinero on top. Legend got up on the top of the cage and looked to jump through the tables until CM Punk threw him off. Raven pulled Dinero off the stacked tables. Kid Kash and Glen Gilberti ran down, but Erik Watts and Don Harris took them out. Jeff Jarrett ran down and threw handcuffs into the cage. AJ Styles & Sting ran out and took care of Jarrett. Raven & The Gathering somehow put Abyss on top of the stacked tables and CM Punk hit a HUGE elbow drop off the top of the cage to break the tables.
The Red Shirts tried to handcuff Raven & The Gathering following the table spot, but they both ended up getting handcuffed, leaving Abyss alone. Julio Dinero & CM Punk got two steel chairs and gave a double chairshot to the head of Kevin Northcutt and Legend. Raven knocked out Abyss with another steel chair, picked him up and got ready to hit the Evenflow when both Dinero & Punk knocked him out with a double chairshot, turning on Raven. They put Abyss on Raven and the referee counted the 1, 2, 3. After the match, Dinero & Punk stood above Raven and did his crucifix pose to taunt him as the show went off the air.
