PEACH STATE PANDEMONIUM: 05/10/2008
Peach State Pandemonium featured NWA Wrestling Showcase host and producer David Marquez, AWA World-1 South promoter Jody Peterman, and the Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer this morning. Marquez updated us on the latest as it pertains to the June 7 NWA Showcase taping at Philips Arena in Atlanta, GA, as well as the Showcase itself. We also discussed his career leading up to his current position, the state of the National Wrestling Alliance, and a few anecdotes from his time working with Gordon Solie. Peterman talked about his promotion, as well as the current state of the American Wrestling Association, including their legal battle with World Wrestling Entertainment. He also cleared up the confusion regarding the AWA Heavyweight and Tag Team Titles of late. Meltzer gave us insight into Total Nonstop Action’s Sacrifice PPV, taking place tomorrow night in Orlando, FL. He also gave us his thoughts on Nick Hogan’s eight month sentence handed down on Friday, and plugged some of the top stories from next week’s issue. Click here for the archive.
William Hatfield sent this in:
This week on William Hatfield's The Wrestling Hotseat Video Show is our season finale! As fans of the show know, Southern Justice has wreaked havoc, causing several interviews to be cut short due to their interference with NWA BG Commissioner "Slake" Jake Layton, so William Hatfield will have "Slake" Jake on the line, as he decides what to do with Southern Justice and it's not to be missed!. NWA BG is a regional promotion running shows in Kenutcky and the surrounding tri state area, boasting an incredible roster of up and comers and prowrestling legends like Masked Superstar, The Midnight Express and WWE Hall of Famer, Handsome Jimmy Valiant, as well as, Tradition Chris Draven, Kris King, Chance Prophet & Hillbilly Deluxe.
So we will have Slake Jake's Edict! Which is an NWA Bluegrass Heavyweight Championship match featuring the champion Kris King defending against "Sensation" Wayne Adkins, and due to Southern Justice, we'll also have Kris King & Wayne Adkins against Southern Justice & Vivacious Vinnie V! How does Beautiful Bobby Eaton fit into all of this?
You'll have to tune in to find out!
