APWF South “Awakening” Results 6/21/08
Matanzas High School, Palm Coast, FL
Jack Manley defeated The Bug. Right after his win, Manley was attacked by The Sheik beating him all around the building. Manley then was the victim of the Camel Clutch, and was left laying powerless in the ring!
Francisco Ciatso w/Ron Niemi pinned Dagon Briggs w/Seven. Afterwards Niemi went off on the crowd, and the APWF South Promoter Chris Lash. Lash finally cut off Neimi’s tirade and declared that Ciatso would face TNA’s Kip James (Formerly Billy Gunn in the WWE) at “Rise Up” on Saturday, September 20th. But Niemi continued his rage, and then Lash announced that Niemi, himself would face wrestling legend Jake “The Snake” Roberts at “Rise Up”
Rhoderick Strong defeated Erick Stevens in a match that truly brought the house down!!
The Shane Brothers won the APWF South Tag Team Titles over “Dark City Soldier” Kory Chavis and Pat McGroin
Former two time WWE Tag Team Champion Doug Bashem won the APWF South Championship over “The Marquee” Bruce Santee w/Amy Love when The Sheik tried to interfere to aid Santee, and it backfired with Bashem rolling up Santee for the one, two three. Bashem spoke to the fans saying that he’s in talks with several big wrestling promotions again, but guaranteed that he would defend the APWF South title wherever and whenever.
The next APWF South show is Saturday, September 20th at Matanzas High School. The show will move up to the gymnasium. The complete card will be announced in the next few days!
