AAW Results from 6/21 in Berwyn, IL

-Egotistico Fantastico d. Hunter Matthews with the Ego Driver

- Jerry Lynn d. Eric Priest to retain the AAW Heavyweight Title

Priest had Lynn beat after the F69 when Chandler McClure and his new protege Jordan Mcintyre interefered. Lynn took advantage and hit the cradle piledriver for the win.

* Promo from none other than Truth Martini. He said it used to be a Michigan Invasion but now he had something bigger in the works. The House Of Truth crew are on their way to AAW.

- Ryan Boz d. Krotch with a pilerdriver after Arik Cannon interfered

* Promo from Silas Young. He has signed a contract to face Josh Abercrombie at Scars and Stripes IV.

-The Phoenix Twins d. Danny Daniels and Trik Davis to become the #1 contenders for the AAW Tag titles

Dan Lawrence and Silas Young d. Chandler McClure and Jordan Mcintyre

Eric Priest returned to chase off McClure leaving Mcintyre in the ring by himself. Silas finished him off with a Zero Gravity Moonsault

* Priest grabbed the mic and said he wants McClure at Scars and Stripes. He also said it will be his last match in professional wrestling. McClure agreed to the match but it will be a "Last Man Standing" contest.

- Keith Walker and Rasche Brown went to a double DQ

A hard hitting contest that was thrown out when both men put their hands on officials. We have not seen the last of this rivalry.

* Kevin Harvey introduced the big surprise. He said the word "legend" is thrown around alot in the buisness but this man is a true legend. TERRY FUNK came to the ring to thunderous applause. He compared AAW and the Eagles Club to a setting he remembered 10 years ago when he first arrrived at ECW. He put over the talent he had seen on the show and thanked the fans. Jimmy Jacobs and Ryan Boz came to the ring. Jacobs disrespected Funk who slapped Jacobs in the face.

- Josh Raymond d. Zach Gowen

The man formerly known as Josh Abercrombie has a drastic new look as the mustache is gone and he now sports long braided hair. He proclaimed Abercrombie is gone and he will go by his given name Josh Raymond. Raymond and Silas Young will meet at Scars and Stripes.

* Joey Eastman and the Northstar Express hit the ring to celebrate their win last month over the Motor City Machine Guns. The Phoenix Twins came out to cash in their title shot but were jumped and whipped with a leather strap by Eastman and company. The NSE then held Dash Phoenix up as Eastman drover the buckle of the strap into his eye. PJ Drummond declared Dash could not compete. Adrenaline Overdose hit the ring. Tweek Phonix gave them his blessiong to take their title shot.

-Adrenaline Overdose (Shane Holister/Bryce Benjamin) d. The Northstar Express (Darin Corbin/Ryan Cruz) to become the NEW AAW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS

An action packed match but in the end AOD won the titles as the fans erupted.

- Krotch d. Jimmy Jacobs and Arik Cannon in a three way dance to become the NEW AAW HERITAGE CHAMPION

Terry Funk returned and cost Jacobs the title. Krotch eliminated Jacobs and then Cannon with the help of his sister Nikki to win the title.

Tyler Black d. Marek Brave in the Stairway to Hell match

A brutal match as expected. Too much to describe here. The end saw Tyler place a bloody Marek's head on a folding chair and then hesitate before yelling 'This is the end!" and hitting a conchairto with a barbed wire wrapped chair. Jerry Lynn then hit the ring and it was announced the main event for Scars and Stripes will be Black vs Lynn for the title.

Thank you to all the fans who chose to spend their evening with AAW tonight. A great crowd as always.

AAW is back in Berwyn for Scars and Stripes on 7/12

Already signed:

AAW Heavyweight Title
Jerry Lynn w/ Jim Jesus (c)
vs
Tyler Black

Farewell Match- Last man Standing
Eric Priest
vs
Chandler McClure

Adrenaline Oversdose will defend the AAW Tag Titles

Silas Young
vs

CHIKARA: "Tragedy & Triumph" hits Philadelphia on Sunday, July 13th!

The month of July is unique on the CHIKARA calendar! We're offering up just one giant, star-studded card, on Sunday afternoon, July 13th, at our homebase of the New Alhambra in Philadelphia. This one will be a card on par with our very finest stand-alone events, and every loyal member of the CHIKARMY will want to be on hand when "Tragedy and Triumph" plays in South Philly!
Among these is the long-anticipated rematch between the two largest men on our roster - Brodie Lee and Claudio Castagnoli. Their two previous bouts have ended in disqualifications, and for that reason, our Director of Fun Leonard F. Chikarason has stipulated that the bout will have No Disqualification, but will have 2 officials assigned should the action get out of control.
In addition to which, tag team partners will collide when "Lightning" Mike Quackenbush takes on his protege and partner Shane Storm, in a match signed by the Director of Fun just this past week. Rumors sparked over Young Lions Cup weekend seem to indicate that Shane Storm taught the counter to the CHIKARA Special to Chris Hero last November, and our company founder wants answers. He may get them when Quack and Storm meet in their first ever singles encounter!
There will be a total of 9 bouts that make up the card, here are the first four we have to confirm:

~Nowhere to Run, Nowhere to Hide~
Mike Quackenbush vs. Shane Storm

~Who is Rey de "Rey de Voladores"?~
Incognito (2008 RdV winner) vs. Chuck Taylor (2007 RdV winner)

~First Time Ever~
Jimmy Olsen vs. Ultimo Breakfast (the re-invented Create-A-Wrestler)

~No Disqualification, to be Overseen by 2 Referees~
Claudio Castagnoli vs. Brodie Lee

3-Day Clinic, Seminar & Tryout August 22-23-24 @ West Paterson, NJ

(WEST PATERSON, NJ)- Independent Wrestling Federation is pleased to announce that WWE Developmental Trainer Dr. Tom Prichard returns to conduct his 7th Annual Pro Wrestling Clinic, Seminar and Tryout at IWF Wrestling School, 32 Willow Way, West Paterson, NJ.

Prichard, head trainer at WWE's Florida Championship Wrestling Developmental Program, is a former WWE Tag Team Champion with The Heavenly Bodies and The Bodydonnas. Tom hosts the three-day clinic on Friday, August 22 from 6 to 10 pm, Saturday, August 23 from 12 to 5 pm, and Sunday, August 24 from 12 to 4 pm. Clinic includes seminar, ring drills, basics and fundamentals, promos and interviews, referee and manager skills.

This is a must for all wrestlers and students to have an opportunity to get scouted and coached by Prichard in this three-day clinic. This marks the seventh clinic Tom will host at IWF Wrestling School since 2002.

Clinic is open to all IWF students and active graduates with a $79 fee; and independent wrestlers, managers and referees with at least one-year of training experience with a $179 fee. Pre-registration is required. Limited to 40 participants and deadline is August 10. Clinic not open to fans or the public. Established in 1999, IWF Wrestling School trains hundreds of wrestlers and managers from 16 states and six countries that perform in bouts around the globe. IWF Commissioner Rich Ross recently joined the management team at USA Network & NBC Universal, partnering with WWE supervising Raw and ECW programming. Former WWE Diva Dawn Marie trained at IWF and had her first-ever match with us in 2001. Former IWF Tag Team Champion Marc Verow works for the UFC Event Production Staff. IWF graduates make frequent appearances on Raw, SmackDown and Heat. So far, 17 home-grown IWF talents made WWE appearances.

IWF Wrestling School hosts periodic Clinics with current stars and legendary performers. In addition to Prichard, WWE Superstar John Bradshaw Layfield, WWE Hall of Famer Tito Santana, former WWE Intercontinental Champion Honky Tonk Man, WWE's Steven Richards, WWE's Nunzio, WWE legend Ricky Steamboat, former UFC and WWE Champion Ken Shamrock, former WWE Diva Dawn Marie, former WWE star Tom Brandi (Sal Sincere), former ECW Champion Steve Corino, and TNA's Simon Diamond have hosted clinics.

Mr. Layfield's lecture to nearly 50 IWF students and graduates touched on all aspects of this business, from in-ring basics and fundamental skills, to developing an interesting and memorable persona.

On April 16 and 17, WWE Legend Honky Tonk Man, the greatest Intercontinental Champion of all-time, returned as guest instructor at IWF Pro Wrestling School. Honky Tonk Man conducted a two-day Pro Wrestling Clinic that covered everything from in-ring training and practice ethic, to basic mat skills, to character development.
