CHIKARA sent this in:
CHIKARA blows into the Chicago area on Saturday, September 20th!
After playing to boisterous crowds in both Massachusetts and Connecticut earlier this year, we've decided to take the CHIKARA circus on the road to see our fans and friends in the Midwestern United States. The third weekend in September, we're hitting the road and making our debut in both Illinois and Ohio!
Today, thanks to the cooperation of groups like NWA Midwest and Elite Pro Wrestling, among others, we can finally announce the exact location for our September 20th Chicago-area event! On that particular Saturday, the stars of CHIKARA will play the Streamwood Park District Community Center, located in scenic Streamwood, IL. Our event will be titled, what else but, "The Artistic Pursuit of Being Yourself" and so far, a who's who of CHIKARA's finest have signed to be part of the event: Jimmy Olsen, The Colony, Lince Dorado, The Osirian Portal, Tim Donst, The Super Smash Brothers, Vin Gerard, the Fabulous Two, Incognito, The Order of the Neo Solar Temple and CHIKARA founder "Lightning" Mike Quackenbush are among the first to commit to wrestling at the Streamwood Community Center.

Scott Benningfield sent this cool story in regarding a meeting with B.J. Whitmer:
I went into the local GNC in my hometown of Alexandria, KY and struck up a conversation with the gentleman on hand, whom I later learned was the manager. I was wearing a Tapout t-shirt and we began chatting about UFC/MMA and the like.
The conversation drifted to wrestling, and he mentioned he's a pro wrestler. We talked a lot about the business and where he's been and what he's done. At the end of the conversation he shook my hand said his name was BJ. Throughout the conversation I learned of his NOAH, ROH and HWA matches. We discussed Chris Harris (I told him about his debut in WWE recently), Jamie Noble and Abyss, all of whom he's good friends with. We discussed, Joe, Punk and other aspects of the business and how much he's enjoyed each promotion he's worked for.
I wanted to end this by saying what a great conversation it was and what a professional and outstanding person he is. Truely someone who has a bright future in the business and he is deserving of everything he could attain. Very much a stand-up guy and a pleasure to chat with. *hats off*
