World Wrestling Entertainment’s SmackDown/ECW crew will be at the I Wireless Center in Moline, IL, tonight. A SummerSlam rematch between ECW Heavyweight Champion Mark Henry and Jeff Hardy for the title is on the slate.

The main event for WWE’s Unforgiven PPV, taking place on September 7 at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, OH, will be CM Punk defending the WWE Heavyweight Title in a twenty-minute time limit five-man scramble including John Cena, JBL, Batista, and Kane.

WWE’s Cyber Series PPV event will be held at the US Airways Arena in Phoenix, AZ, on October 26. The previously announced November 30 event to take place in Columbus, GA, has been cancelled.

The National Wrestling Alliance will be presenting an event at the Freeman Coliseum in San Antonio, TX, on August 24. Advertised: Brent Albright defends the NWA World Heavyweight Title against Trevor Murdoch. Also advertised are Sid Vicious, Blue Demon, Jr., Sean Waltman, Adam Pearce, Rob Conway, Don Juan, Cassandro the Exotic One, and Los Luchas. Bell time is 3:00 PM.

The Torres’ had been the reigning Southern Tag Team Champions since they defeated the Medics in a tournament final on May 6, 1966, in Atlanta. Charlie Harben was credited as being a referee on this card. The program for this card features a nice tribute mentioning the death of Strangler Lewis. It was announced that Roger Kirby and Chico Cortez would be wrestling on the card on August 26, 1966.
