CHIKARA comes to Oberhausen, GERMANY in November!
A little while back, we put the ol' Tag World Grand Prix in a box with mothballs and forgot about it. This year has seen CHIKARA grow in leaps and bounds, and when we conspired to present a weekend of CHIKARA goodness with our pals at Westside Xtreme Wrestling over in Germany, we decided to dust off the ol' Tag World and give it a new lease on life! A monumental event like the Tag World seemed like a fitting choice for our first international venture!
Together, CHIKARA, wXw, 1PW, and a few other promotions we can't reveal just yet will come together for the Tag World Grand Prix 2008 in Oberhausen, Germany the weekend of November 8th and 9th! All in all, 12 teams will compete under the CHIKARA system of rules (lucha tags in Deutschland!), with tag team points in play for each round, as we stage a tournament the likes of which continental Europe has never seen! Keep your eyes peeled for new information about participants rolling out regularly on our website. German fans can get tickets in person starting with wXw's September 13th event in Troisdorf, and online sales (including special package deals for both nights) begin on September 15th!
