IWF Pro Wrestling Events at Great Falls Festival Labor Day Weekend:
City of Paterson Presents Annual Extravaganza August 30-31 & September 1
(PATERSON, NJ)- The thrills and excitement of live Independent Wrestling Federation action return to the Great Falls Festival this Saturday, August 30; Sunday, August 31; and Monday, September 1, 2008 at Overlook Park, 72 McBride Avenue, Paterson, NJ.
The annual three-day Labor Day Weekend Festival takes place daily from 3 pm to 12 midnight, and features music and entertainment from local performers, games, rides, clowns, circus thrill acts, arts and craft exhibits, motorcycle shows, as well as bodyslamming wrestling action.
Wrestling events take place three times each evening. Ready to rumble are IWF Champion Kevin Knight, American Champion Playboy Vik Voorhees, Tag Team Champions Franciz and Simply Stellar Travis Blake, Damian Adams, Biggie Biggs, High Definition Chris Steeler, Tony Torres and Antonio Rivera of Latin Revolution, Mad Dog Mike Jenkins, Justin Corino, Frank Scoleri, Kareem West, Evan Schwartz, Portuguese Powerhouse Dan Marques, and witchy diva Jana.
“It’s an honor for the IWF to participate once again in this wonderful festival event,” said Kevin Knight. “We look forward to bringing some good old-fashioned wrestling entertainment back to Paterson as we join Mayor Torres and the Paterson Council in this historic celebration.”
IWF wrestlers will sign autographs and take photos with children who can pose with the championship belts in the ring after each performance. Event times are 4:15 pm, 7:00 pm and 9:45 pm daily (weather permitting). For information visit www.WrestlingIWF.com.
Other festival attractions include helicopter rides out of Hinchcliff Stadium, daredevil acts over the Paterson Falls, fireworks display, an international food court, and a Labor Day Parade. Overlook Park is located at the corner of McBride Avenue and Spruce Street, at the top of the Falls.
Last year, Community Development officials estimated that nearly 60,000 spectators attended the festival, with the IWF being one of the most popular acts. IWF also participated in the City of Paterson's Annual Holiday Parade of Lights and Tree Lighting Ceremony in December.
Independent Wrestling Federation produces family-friendly live events and hosts children’s Birthday Parties. IWF Pro Wrestling School is recognized as the premiere training facility in the Northeast by countless television and news media outlets.
