Scheduled Matches:
VPW Championship Match
“Best Body In The Business…So The Ladies Say” Jason Static vs. Mack Daddy Flexx
As the months go by, Jason Static gets closer and closer to making it one full year as the first ever VPW Champion. Say what you want about Jason Static, but it can not be denied that he has defended the championship against all comers. His next title defense has been months in the making and may very well be his toughest challenge to date. While Flexx has had his shots at the VPW Championship in the past, Flexx has never been more prepared and more driven. Back on July 11th, Flexx became the number one contender to the title. Flexx was unable to claim his match on July 26th, but he is 100% ready for September 6th. Static had verbally taunted Flexx and called him out on always coming up short when the pressure was on. That same night saw Static and Joe So Delicious viciously attack Flexx. That attack fueled what was already burning inside of the big man. This could be it for Jason Static. Don’t dare miss what could be VPW history!!
VPW Tag Team Championship Match
“The Resurrection of Tag Team Wrestling” Eclipse (Jay Delta & Xandar Page) vs. Livewired (JMS & VSK)
Eclipse has been entrenched in an all-out war with the Suburban SWAT Team all throughout 2008. At the same time, the champions have also been involved in a competitive rivalry with Livewired. It was back in May in the finals of the VPW Tag Team Championship Tournament where Eclipse defeated Livewired. Ever since that point, Livewired have tried several times to win the gold, but each time Livewired narrowly came up short. Those losses have been the direct cause of the recent problems between JMS and VSK. Both men have blamed each other for the team’s recent hurdles. In fact, there have been occasions where these two long time friends have gotten physical. Differences aside, Livewired claim to be on the same page as they go for the gold. Xandar Page and Jay Delta say that their opponents’ problems have been a source of amusement. They feel that if Livewired couldn’t beat them when they were getting along, there’s no way they could hope to win now. Will Livewired overcome their problems in time?? Or will Eclipse make quick work of their opponents??
Cruiserweight Tag Team Grudge Match
“The Good Guy” Azrieal & Minyon vs. “The Miracle” Javi-Air & “Firebird” Jorge Santi
As if the athletic ability of all four men wasn’t enough, there are personal issues between members of both teams that will surely heat this match up even more. Azrieal and Javi-Air have been battling it out since late 2007. At first they had matches based on the spirit of competition, but Azrieal’s darker side soon led to more intense battles. Javi-Air has been looking for some payback for a while now and sees this match as his opportunity. On the flip side are Minyon and Jorge Santi. Minyon and Santi have been involved in several different VPW matches together, but it wasn’t until July 11th that they met one on one. It was in that match that Minyon came out on top. Now Jorge Santi is looking to prove something to not only the fans, but to himself. This is guaranteed to be one of the most exciting matches in VPW history!!
International Tag Team Special Attraction Challenge
VTG Enterprises (Scotty Rio & Johnny “Muscles” Marinara) w/ Vinny the Guido vs. Puma & a Mystery Partner
In a rare New York appearance, Puma will heading to VPW on September 6th. At first Puma was simply coming down to the VPW School prior to the event to host a special training seminar. Then Puma agreed to wrestle on the event that evening. Par the course, Vinny the Guido then opened his mouth and started running down Puma. Vinny carried on about how Puma was getting all the attention and taking away time from his men, Scotty Rio and Johnny Marinara. Well it looks like Vinny opened his mouth to the wrong person because now Puma is coming for Vinny. Puma said that he’d be bringing a friend with him to take on Rio and Marinara. Of course after running his mouth, Vinny had no choice but to accept. There’s an old adage that says “what goes around comes around.” Now it looks like once again, Vinny the Guido will be getting his!!
Six-Man Tag Team Action
Nick Noshus & Pretty Poison(EJ Risk & Justin Toxic) vs. Nightmare & Suburban SWAT Team (“Suburban Bad Boy” Joey Everlast & “Prince of Suburbia” Johnny Suburban) w/ Mikey Old School
At first these teams may look like odd pairings, but both teams may have in fact found new allies. Nightmare has been on a roll lately, defying the odds and winning his last two matches. His partners, the Suburban SWAT Team, are coming off a recent loss to their arch-rivals, Eclipse, and are looking to get back on top of the tag team scene. Their opponents are three of the most arrogant wrestlers in all of VPW; Nick Noshus, Justin Toxic and EJ Risk. Noshus is undefeated since his VPW debut. He also claims to be unbeatable. Pretty Poison has made similar claims in that they are the best tag team in VPW. There’s a lot on the line in this match in both the singles division as well as the tag team division. Everyone involved has something to gain and everything to lose!!
Return Match
“Ultra Sexy” Joe So Delicious vs. “Smooth Operator” Mike Gallagher
On July 26th in Deer Park, Joe So Delicious and Mike Gallagher stole the show. They had one of the most technical matches VPW has seen in a long time. Gallagher’s technical prowess caused the much larger Joe So Delicious to wrestle a different type of match. Despite having to out wrestle Gallagher, Joe So Delicious was the better man on that day. Now one month later, these two are going at it one more time to see who’s the best. Delicious was hesitant to sign for the rematch citing that he had nothing to prove, but eventually he agreed. Delicous stated that if he beat Gallagher once before, there is no reason why he couldn’t do it again. Gallagher told VPW officials that he may have gotten beat the first time, but there’s no way he’s getting beat again. See two of VPW’s finest compete one more time!!
Singles Match
Dr. Lamar Braxton Porter w/ Rayna Fyre vs. Richie Tyler
Dr. Lamar Braxton Porter is not having the easiest of times here in VPW. First he lost in his debut match against the Zombie. Then in an absolutely shocking loss, Porter was defeated by Nightmare. This sent Porter into an absolute raging frenzy which caused him to obliterate Nightmare following the match. Porter’s anger coupled with the beauty of Rayna Fyre certainly makes him one of most threatening forces in VPW. His opponent has been with VPW since day one and has proven that he is always ready to overcome the odds. Richie Tyler has never backed down from anyone and always gives every match his best effort. Tyler told VPW officials that he wanted a challenge and VPW definitely delivered. Will Porter get his first win?? Or will Richie Tyler rally the fans behind him to another victory??
Other VPW News:
International star Puma will be in action!!
“Masculine Marvel” Sabotage will not be in Centereach on September 6th. His absence will prevent Best Bodies, Inc. from operating at full strength. This may be an opportune time for the many enemies of the dominant stable to seek revenge.
The Funky Fresh Boyz are determined to get their first win in VPW. While the Funky Fresh Boyz are currently not scheduled for a match, K-Funk and K-Fresh have both guaranteed that they will make their presence known on September 6th.
Mikey, Jerry Fitzwater’s personal security guard has been missing in action for the last few months. Back on July 26th in Deer Park, Eclipse tossed Fitzwater into an icebox. Will Mikey return to make sure that things like that don’t happen again?? Who knows?!?
All VPW DVDs will be on sale at the next show!!!
