NWA Upstate's Upstate 8 "Indytational" is just a few days away!

NWA Upstate returns to the Minett Hall in Henrietta, New York on Saturday September 27th with a 6:00pm bell time (doors open 5:30). Along with the addition of two more competitors to this year's Indytational, the format has changed as well. There will be four first round singles matches. The winner of each of these matches will advance into an elimination 4 way match. The final man remaining in this 4 way will be the 2008 Upstate 8 Champion. Here are the first round matches:

2CW Champion Slyck Wagner Brown vs. “Freshly Squeezed” Orange Cassidy

UWA Triple Crown Champion “The Amazing Canadian” Lionel Knight vs. "The Havana Pitbull" Ricky Reyes

The Former “Olsen Twins” do battle for the first time in Upstate!
Jimmy “Jam” Olsen vs. Former WWE/ECW Star COLIN DELANEY!

The 2007 Indytational Champion “Fabulous” John McChesney vs. TNA Star "The Guru" Sonjay Dutt

Non-Tournament Action:

6 Man Tag Team Match
NWAU No Limits Champion - Gabe Saint & 2 partners of his choice
vs.
Sweet Lou & 2 partners of his choice

-At Upstate's last event at the Monroe County Fair, Sweet Lou came up on the losing side of a match for the No Limits title against the current champion – Gabe Saint. Lou has been furious to say the least and has been petitioning to Upstate officials to get one more shot at “The Bull of Black Mountain” since the Fair. On the 27th, Lou will get his shot. Officials have signed Gabe and Lou to be on opposing sides of a 6 man tag team match, where they will be able to select their own partners. This one could get out of control and just who will they choose?

The Annual ROCHESTER RUMBLE!

-This match has been a staple in the yearly tournament shows and has seriously helped make or break careers. Some have entered this battle royale style match, only to never be seen again, while some have used this to sky rocket to the top. The winner of this match is allowed to challenge anyone he wants. Former winner JP Black went on the win the now defunct Kayfabe Dojo Title. Jimmy Olsen used his win to start his climb to the top resulting in 2 different NWA Upstate title runs. Just last year Frank The Tank used his win to capture the NWA Upstate Tag Titles with his partner Buddy Del Mar. Who will be the Star to rise out of this match this year? It doesn’t get much bigger than this!

Also signed to be in action on the 27th:
NWA Upstate Champion – DANNY DORING, NWA Upstate Tag Team Champions – The McCloud Brothers, Triple X, Super Assassin, Spazz, Maximo Suave, “Superbad” Richard Venice, Coconut Jones, AND MANY MORE SURPRISES!

BREAKING NEWS... 2CW/NWA Upstate War Escalates... Again!

As if things wouldn't have been heated enough at this year's Upstate 8 Tournament, things just got worse. At 2CW's last event, Upstate's own Jimmy Olsen faced off against 2CW's champion - Slyck Wagner Brown for a 2nd time. After Slyck was able to defeat Jimmy in a very intense match, Jimmy left SWB laying in the ring and took the 2CW title hostage demanding that if Slyck wanted it back that he would have to come to Rochester and take it from him. After what 2CW did to Jimmy Jam in the WarGames back in June , it seems Jimmy has snapped and will do whatever he has to for revenge and to defend NWA Upstate. There is no telling how far they may go in on the 27th.
