PWInsider reports that NWA World Champion Adam Pearce finished up with Ring of Honor at the company's event in Philadelphia, PA this past weekend when he regained his title from Brent Albright. Pearce was said to be aware he was finishing up with ROH over the weekend and said his goodbyes to everyone. The belief is that it was a cost-cutting issue as ROH had been bringing in too many people on a regular basis. There was no heat on Pearce and the door was left open for a return later on. Pearce is scheduled to be part of the NWA's scheduled relaunch of the "Wrestling Showcase" series on Dish Network's Colours channel this fall.
