PWInsider reports that former WWE star Joey Matthews (aka Joey Mercury) has continued to push on the mic at recent independent wrestling events that he is returning to WWE at the end of the year. The impression many are getting at this time is that he isn't scheduled to return and could be doing this to create some buzz for his name. While his name has been pitched for a return at different times, it remains to be seen just how serious they are in bringing him back right now.
