PRO WRESTLING UNPLUGGED AND MAVERICK OMNICORP JOIN FORCES

Just two days after their fourth anniversary event in front of 547 paying fans, Pro Wrestling Unplugged has announced that it has struck a partnership deal with Maverick Omnicorp. PWU founder and owner Johnny Kashmere announced the partnership to his staff in Philadelphia today.
Under the arrangement, PWU's broadcasting and production services will be supervised by Maverick Omnicorp, with Maverick representative Dexter Holley acting as the network's liaison to PWU. Maverick's responsibilities would include supervision of all television programs, and the overall supervision of the creative services division of PWU.
Maverick President Lance Ferguson commented "We are extremely excited about this partnership. PWU is recognized as the home of real professional wrestling, and Maverick is certainly recognized for its accomplishments as well. With PWU's superior in ring wrestling and Maverick's promotional background, this is a match made in heaven."
Dexter Holley, who has been assigned by Maverick to oversee the production of PWU programming, is no stranger to successful professional wrestling promotions. Holley was a successful ringside manager for 19 years, and has been a promoter on his own behalf. He worked as the Event Coordinator for the NWA's Mid Atlantic territory in 1996 and 1997; managed NWA World Tag Team Champions Pat and CW Anderson; led Tully Blanchard to the revived NWA United States Championship; and has won numerous manager of the year awards around the nation. He is also the author of an autobiographical book, The Expert Opinion, which has sold nearly 4,000 copies to date.
Maverick's newest venture, the Signature Television Network, is set to produce and carry PWU's weekly one hour program starting in November on it's affiliates nationwide. STN is a cable only network based out of the Dothan, AL, area, and will carry programming to over 25 stations around the nation in it's initial rollout.
PWU and Maverick will co promote live events under the Pro Wrestling Unplugged banner in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and several southern states. Currently, the home of PWU's television program is Voorhees, NJ, where television tapings are held on a regular basis.
Maverick is a 21 year old live event company based in southern Virginia, and has promoted wrestling, music events, and Toughman contests.
Pro Wrestling Unplugged has just turned four years old, and is the premier independent wrestling promotion in the nation, drawing an average of 400 to 500 in paid attendance to each monthly live event.
