The SHEIK and Heartbreak Express Survive WILD WEEKEND in Puerto Rico

October 3 started out like any other day but by the early afternoon a strange sense of anxiety had seemingly taken over the employees working at San Juan International Airport. Word had gotten out. HE was coming today and everyone was told to be on alert from airport security to the janitorial workers.
Puerto Rico is not a very big place and from the time that brief glimpses of HIM were seen on the local broadcast television there was a sense of fear building as no one knew exactly what was going to happen when HE arrived.
At around 1:30pm word was officially given over intercoms all over the airport. THE SHEIK was here.
Local media, wrestling fans and curious onlookers waited several hours outside of baggage pickup to try to get a glimpse of the stars of Pro Wrestling FUSION that were coming into town to compete for Puerto Rico's top wrestling organization The IWA. First to be seen was the flamboyant tag team of Sean and Phil Davis - The Heartbreak Express who were making their return to The IWA for a rematch with IWA Tag Team Champions CRUZZ and Diabiolico at the big Golpe De Estado event in Bayamon. "Superstar" Sean noticing the press and being the self professed spotlight hog he is immediately went over to start answering questions and offering to pose for photos. After quick and polite talk about the upcoming tag title match the questions quickly turned to what was on everyone's minds and that was where was The Sheik and what kind of state of mind he was in. "Fabulous" Phil answered for the team "Look to be honest with you we stayed as far away from that lunatic as we could on the flight...ya know he's not exactly a great conversationalist and I don't think he wants to sit around talking about girls and money. As far as we can tell all he cares about is hurting people and we don't want to be on the receiving end of any of his..uh well less than stable antics."
The Heartbreak Express quickly jumped into their awaiting limo and jetted away just as an older gentleman dressed in all white with a bright red beard emerged from the airport and stepped up to the media podium. It was legendary manager Barrabas. "Today is a truly historic day in the annals of Puerto Rico wrestling as the most violent and brutal man to ever step foot in a wrestling ring is here for the frist time, I am talking about of course the Pro Wrestling FUSION World Heavyweight Champion THE SHEIK. He is here to not only defend his world title but to DESTROY the legendary Savio TNT Vega and to show wrestling fans and wrestlers alike that there is a new king of all of pro wrestling and that is THE SHEIK!!!!". About that time several security guards pushed through the crowd all surrounding the PWF World Champion..NOT for his protection but for the protection of everyone around him. The SHEIK was not here to sign autographs or bask in the attention of the media. He was here for BLOOD.
Close to a thousand fans packed the arena in Bayamon on October 4 for the first night of Golpe De Estado which is one of the biggest wrestling weekends of the year. Pro Wrestling FUSION was well represented as in one of the main event matches of the night The Heartbreak Express had an exciting 15 minute back and forth battle with IWA Tag Team Champions CRUZZ and DIABOLICO. Sean and Phil dominated most of the match with their quick in and out tags and double team maneuvers but in the end there was a miscommunication by the HBX and the tag team champions were able to hit a superkick/frog splash combo on Superstar Sean for the 3 count. Right after the bell to the disapproval of The Heartbreak Express hated tag team Kadafi and Arafat hit the ring and stole Sean and Phil's chance for vengeance on the champions by attacking CRUZZ and DIABOLICO with their flag poles and leaving them laying. The Heartbreak Express do not appreciate ANYONE stealing the spotlight from them and they quickly demanded a match for the next night in Isabella against Kadafi and Arafat and that wish was granted. The fans in Isabella to The Heartbreak Express's surprise were behind them 100% as they battled the hated Iranians in what was one of THE bloodiest tag team matches ever seen in IWA history and nothing was settled at all between the two teams so The Heartbreak Express has signed to return to the IWA on November 14, 15 and 16 where they are determined to not only get more time in the ring with Kadafi and Arafat but also to get another shot at the IWA Tag Team Titles.
At the end of this incredible weekend one thing was for sure and that was that The SHEIK along with his manager Barrabas made a HUGE impact on the IWA and made Golpe de Estado the weekend of The SHEIK!!! First in Bayamon The SHEIK battled Savio "TNT" Vega in what is being called not just the match of the year for 2008 in Puerto Rico but one of the bloodiest, most violent and exciting matches to ever be seen on the Island. This match was right up there with the classic matches of years past between legends like Bruiser Brody and Abdullah the Butcher in this VERY same building. This match was so out of control that not only were the referees and officials of the IWA not able to gain any sense of control but almost the ENTIRE IWA locker room also had to come out and attempt to stop both men from not only butchering each other to death but from destroying the entire building! This match saw chairs, bottles, baseball bats and fire being used by both men and the fans in attendance will never forget what they witnessed and Savio Vega and THE SHEIK both are ready to continue their battle on future IWA events. Most would agree though that the Island of Puerto Rico may not be big enough to contain this feud and it would not be surprising to see things spill over to the US mainland.
Savio "TNT" Vega was not the only one to feel the wrath of THE SHEIK on this bloody weekend as The SHEIK successfully defended his Pro Wrestling FUSION World Heavyweight Title against tag team champion CRUZZ in an EXTREME RULES MATCH the next night in Isabella. SHEIK used his golden spike to permanently scar the forehead of CRUZZ and despite his best efforts to fight back THE SHEIK was victorious and the fans of Isabella now knew what the fans in Bayamon found out the night before and that was there was a new "King of Violence" in Puerto Rico and that is THE SHEIK!!!!
