My first wrestling show and it certainly didn't disappoint!Here's a recap:
Match 1: Paul Tracey vs. Scotty the Hotty
Crowd went wild for Scotty,lots of handshaking and high 5s and he danced with a little girl in front of me.
Major heat for Tracey. Scotty won it with the worm. Nice fun opening match.
Match 2: Mexican Mini Wrestlers - Mascarita Sagrada vs. ?(didn't get the name)
Basically another fun match. The crowd called for a 619 and got it for a near fall.
They messed up a toprope splash into a rollup. Mascarita won with a rollup soon after.
Segment with Joe E Legend:
Legend comes out and apologises for not being able to wrestle as his knee's injured. Rene Dupree cuts him off to some major heat.
Tells him to get over it and says his ankle's broken but you don't hear him complaining. We're wrestlers,that's what we do and gets a pop for it!
He attacks Legends knee and Duncan Disorderly comes out to beat down Legend as well. U-gene comes out for the save.
He knows Legend is hurt but asks him just for tonight to team with him against Dupree and Disorderly. Dupree says he'll think about it.
Match 3: The Picture of Perfection Sean Maxer Brennan vs The Suicide Machine Paddy O
Nice spot saw Paddy O tease a suicide dive,Brennan rolled back in to avoid it but Paddy O bounced off the top rope ala Kofi Kingston!
Later Paddy O did a handstand on the top turnbuckle,Brennan ran in and got caught with a boot,he tried a second time and avoided the contact,
threw Paddy O off and hit a vicious kick to the face.On the outside,maxer started bleeding from the mouth after shots from Paddy O.
Paddy O hit like a torture rack into a powerbomb for a near fall.Swanton bomb by Paddy O for a VERY near fall.
Maxer won with a rollup holding on to the ropes.Lights go out...
When they came back on,SABU was in the ring behind Brennan!
No bell was rung but we got a surprise match of Sabu vs Sean Maxer Brennan!
Match 4: Sabu vs Sean Maxer Brennan
This was an out and out spotfest with little or no offence from Maxer.
He threw a chair in Maxer's face twice,hit lots of punches and locked in the camel clutch for a while.Threw him outside and beat him up some more.
Took Maxer back in the ring,set up a chair and did his triple jump atomic facebuster!Locked in the camel clutch again and then got a table.
He dropped Maxer face first on the table and went up top and leg dropped him through the table using the chair!
He then made Maxer tap to the camel clutch,definitely match of the night!
I think the intermission was next.
Bret Hart,Tatanka,Scotty the Hotty and Joe E Legend were on hand for autographs and photos which were €5 each.
Match 5: Joey Cabray w/ Rochelle Sinclair vs Gary Cassidy
Biggest pop of the night for Cassidy as he's from Letterkenny.
Cabray attacked Cassidy from behind,pulled off his Donegal Football jersey,spat on it and rubbed his crotch with it.
Lots of slams and suplexes by Cabray on Cassidy.Tiltawhirl side slam by Cabray for a close near fall.
Cabray then missed a leg drop from the top,Cassidy went up and hit a missile dropkick for a near fall.
Cassidy then hit a ddt and a splash from the top for another near fall.Cabray hit a neckbreaker using the ropes for a 2 count.
Cassidy almost won it with a rollup,shortly after he hit a hurricanrana and hooked the legs for the 3 count.
Afterwards it's announced that Rene Dupree has accepted U-gene's challenge for a tag match later.
Match 6: Tatanka vs ?(didn't catch the name)
Whoever this guy is,he weighs over 400 pounds and got an absolute ton of heat.
Not much action in this match,Tatanka went for a body slam early on but couldn't hold him up and barely kicked out at 2.
I couldn't believe it but the huge guy went for a moonsault but Tatanka moved out of the way,hit an elbow drop I think from the top and got the 3.
Main Event: Duncan Disorderly & Rene Dupree vs Joe E Legend and U-gene
Dupree jumped Legend mid-entrance and Disorderly joined in until U-gene came out.
Back in the ring Dupree offered his hand to Legend,Legend teased taking it but flipped Dupree off instead and hit a huge right hand.
Dupree rolled outside and threw 2 chairs in,Legend and U-gene sat down on them waiting for Dupree!
Back in the ring Dupree hit a big shoulder block on Legend and tagged in Disorderly.Legend and disorderly have a test of strength.
Disorderly kicks Legend's knee,shoves him into the corner and works over his knee.Legend comes back with 2 clotheslines.
He goes over and punches Dupree then Disorderly.Both men tag in their respective partners.Dupree slaps U-gene.
U-gene starts doing his usual silliness which I won't go into!Dupree bails out and punches U-gene through the ropes.
Tag to Disorderly who starts working on U-gene's arm and starts taunting Legend.While the referee is busy with Legend,
Dupree works on U-gene's arm while facing the entrance ramp and yelling at the crowd.
Pin attempt on U-gene who kicks out at 2.U-gene turns the tables and hands Disorderly's arm to Dupree who starts working on it,
U-gene rolls outside and walks around to Dupree and starts waving at him,Dupree starts having a fit!Legend comes in and the faces clear the ring.
Legend is tagged in and hits punches on Disorderly,Dupree sneaks in and chop blocks Legend's knee,Disorderly then works it over.
Disorderly misses a dropkick,tags in Dupree who knocks U-gene off the apron.He works over Legend's knee until Legend counters a leg twist.
Dupree tags Disorderly back in,works on Legend's knee,tags Dupree back in who locks in a half crab on Legend who makes it to the ropes.
Dupree knocks U-gene off the apron again.Springboard leg drop and elbow drop combo by Disorderly and Dupree on Legend.
Legend counters out and makes the hot tag to U-gene!Big kick and a leg drop on Dupree for a near fall.Legend comes in.
Legend is punching Disorderly in one corner and U-gene is punching Dupree in the opposite corner.
Legend and U-gene both go for Irish whips,both are countered but they avoid the collision.
U-gene hits a rock bottom on Dupree and Legend hits his finisher on Disorderly and both guys get the pinfall.
After the match,Legend takes forever to get up because of his knee.When he eventually does,they both do their Hogan poses.
On their way to the back they go all around the ring hugging and giving high 5s to the fans.
The announcer told us to keep our eyes and ears open as they'll all be back next year.
Tatanka and I think Scotty the Hotty were doing some more autographs after the show.Unfortunately I didn't get any as the queues were ridiculously long.
Overall a damn good show,just seeing Sabu made my night!
