Bell time is 8:00 PM.
The final overall rating for the October 30 edition of TNA’s iMPACT was 1.16.
An updated lineup for TNA’s Turning Point PPV, which will be broadcast live from Universal Studios in Orlando, FL, on November 9: Sting defends the TNA World Heavyweight Title against A.J. Styles; Kevin Nash versus Samoa Joe; Booker T defends the Legends Title against Christian Cage, whereas if Cage loses, he must become a member of the Main Event Mafia; Beer Money defends the TNA World Tag Team Title against the Motor City Machine Guns; Kurt Angle versus Abyss; Rhino versus Sheik Abdul Bashir; and a match where seeding will determine top contenders for the TNA X Division Title.
Ring of Honor has announced several additions to upcoming cards. Kenny Omega’s partner for the match against Mark & Jay Briscoe on November 7 in Montreal, PQ, will be Kenny King. A three-way match featuring Bryan Danielson, Kenny Omega, and Tyler Black is slated for November 8 in Markham, ON. Irish Airborne has been scheduled for Dayton, OH, on November 21, with opponents to be announced. MsChif will defend the Shimmer Title against Sara Del Rey on November 22 in Chicago Ridge, IL.
The National Wrestling Alliance has partnered with Big Vision Entertainment to launch a new television program, to be called NWA Championship Wrestling from Hollywood. Tapings are scheduled to take place November 14-16, and the show, produced by David Marquez, is intended to replace its most recent presence which was only available to Dish Network customers.
GWH wishes a happy birthday to the Boogeyman (1964). Fitting, to say the least.
Today in Memoriam: Gene Anderson (58, 1991), Joe Dusek (81, 1992), Moose Cholak (72, 2002), and Huracan Ramirez (80, 2006).
As expected from the many reports we received between Tuesday and Thursday, the war between Great Championship Wrestling and Prime Time Pro Wrestling reached a new level on Thursday night.
The Southside Trash ("Rowdy" Randy Harris & "Raunchy" Drew Golden) quit PTPW. They were in the parking lot before the show in Columbus, GA, telling fans to follow them over to the GCW show in Phenix City, AL, and they would be let in free. Manager J.P. Money also headed over to GCW along with two of the PTPW security guys. PTPW Owner Billy Roper got on the mic and said the Trash quit because he had three top independent talents Micah Taylor, Sonny Siaki, and Bull Buchanan, who incidentally were let go by GCW on Wednesday.
The results from the Event Center: Ace Rockwell & Frankie Valentine over Rob Adonis & Colt Derringer. Taylor beat Sal Rinauro. Buchanan beat the returning A.J. Steele. Deathrow beat Chris Stevens to win the PTPW Heavyweight Title. Stevens came out with his ribs taped from last week. Deathrow got an assist from Jake Slater. In the Tables, Ladders, Chairs, and Scaffolding Match, David Young beat Slater. Said to be brutal. Slater was busted open the hard way with a chair shot to the back of the head, and also juiced from the forehead. The finish saw Young first hit a spinebuster, followed by a spinebuster into a chair, then splashed Slater through a table off the scaffolding. Siaki ran in through the back door, beat on Young with a chair and gave him a DDT into stacked chairs. According to Roper, the attendance was 86, with 50% paying.
They're back to Friday next week (November 7) with Bad Company (Buchanan, Young, and Stevens) booked in a 6-man tag team match. Tracy Taylor is also on the card. Roper announced that if they draw over 200 paid next Friday, he will refund everyone half of their admission price. Thanks to Matt Tew for his help with this report.
We have not received the results from GCW as we normally do by this time of day on Friday. However, Larry Goodman had a conversation with GCW’s Quentin Michaels following the show last night. We also know that Michaels began the GCW event by bringing out owner Diane Hewes, as well as Eddy Phillips, in what he called a show of solidarity before telling fans they had a choice, and for choosing GCW they would see the best showever, while denouncing those who attended the PTPW show with by saying, “Screw you!”
In a statement this afternoon, Roper noted the Trash defection as “very well orchestrated”, but expressed his disappointment in them for leaving the way they did. He also thanks the fans who attended, as well as “the professionals that were in my dressing room”, vowing PTPW will not go away.
This war has been brewing for some time now, and with PTPW opting to run on Thursday head-to-head this week only, it was bound to escalate. It remains unseen at this time what the remaining fallout will be, but we will attempt to stay on top of further developments.

Blood, Sweat and Beers… and Blood
You can’t escape Hell by cheating the Devil, but that is exactly what Beef Wellington tried to do at Un F’N Sanctioned 2008, winning Fans Bring the Weapons with the most unlikely weapon of all, a damp cloth and a bottle of ether that sent Viking to sleep (and frankly ever since Viking has been acting drunk, well, punch-drunk, well more than usual), giving Beef Wellington the easy pin and win. To Beef Wellington, this was using his brains to win the match; to PCP Crazy F’N Manny this was cheating in a match that Manny never even conceived that cheating was possible.
Normally, Fans Bring the Weapons ends feuds, not to mention careers, but with the feud between Manny and Beef unresolved, the two men have been ordered to face one another one on one at Blood, Sweat and Beers 2008, November 1st, in a match that may possibly be even more violent than Fans Bring the Weapons. The joke around the office is that Beef was campaigning for a Westmount Barbed Wire Match (there being no barbed wire in Westmount) but instead Beef will find that there is no easy escape from Hell as he faces Manny in a Triple Hell Death Math with barbed wire, thumbtacks and glass.

IWS Blood, Sweat and Beers 2008
Detailed Preview
What better way to mark our return to the Skratch than to welcome back someone to the IWS roster who hasn’t been seen since our days at the Skratch? Making his return to the IWS this Saturday will be former IWS Champion Maxx Fury. Known in Quebec wrestling circles as a man with legitimate martial arts skills, Maxx will have a real challenge in his fist match back facing the first IWS Canadian Champion, the Aerial Assassin Chris Bishop and his sometime partner, sometime friend, always rival, Lionel Knight.
Un F’N Sanctioned 2008 was host to an AMAZING ladder match where Cheech and Cloudy successfully defended their IWS tag team titles. No knock on our tag team champions, but the other two teams in the match made their lives a little bit easier by absolutely killing each other. The Super Smash Brother blame the ersatz Italians for losing the IWS tag team belts, while the Untouchables blame the eight-bit luchadores for never having won the belts. This Saturday, these two will have a chance to work out their differences and their frustrations once and for all.
Also nursing a grudge from the show at the Medley (and a few extra scars) is the IWS’ Hardcore Hero, the Green Phantom. He will take on the two men that he fought in Fans Bring the Weapons: Sexxxy Eddy and the Evil Ninja in a Handicap Match. Phantom picks at grudges the way that some people pick at scabs never allowing them to heal. He has a long and vicious history with both Eddy and the Evil Ninja, but these ancient rivalries have been given fuel by two ambushes that he has suffered while trying to beat Kevin Steen for the IWS Title. Ask Green Phantom if he believes he should be IWS Champion right now; ask him who he blames; find out what he plans to do about it this Saturday.
A report from Un F’N Sanctioned 2008 by IWS Announcer Nic Paterson with footage from Fans Bring the Weapons:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DUCy7VpQV_E
Shayne Hawke came within inches of becoming the latest IWS Canadian Champion at the Medley in his match against EXesS. The Baby Oil Phenom was out on his feet, but we have often joked backstage that EXesS could slap on a submission in his sleep and Shayne Hawke found out to his cost that a half-conscious EXesS operating on auto-pilot is still quite dangerous. Hawke won his very first match with EXesS, but ended up looking like he had lost after EXesS beat him to within an inch of his life. In their second match, EXesS won, but hawke looked like the winner. Hawke wants a rubber match, but before he can face EXesS he must take on IWS newcomer Brodie Lee.
Shayne Hawke’s promo:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JDoW5ukO1Co
While Shayne Hawke is tangling with Brodie Lee, EXesS, the very first IWS Triple Crown winner, will be putting his hard-earned gold on the line against anyone who wants to take a shot at him… anyone but Shayne Hawke that is.
After beating the Maritimes Express, 2.0 plan to celebrate by returning to the Promised Land. The only thing standing in their way are the current and reigning IWS Tag Team champions, Cheech and Cloudy who just demonstrated their Montreal dominance last Sunday in a great match at ISW’s Rotchy Horror Picture Show against the dangerous if dysfunctional McGoths.
At the Medley, Twiggy injured his neck and miraculously beat the heavyweight Franky the Mobster. Twiggy convinced the IWS Champion Kevin Steen that beating Franky earned Twiggy a shot at Mr. Wrestling’s IWS gold. It was almost exactly a year ago, that Twiggy came within a split-second of winning the IWS Title from then champion PCP Crazy F’N Manny. Losing that match gave Twiggy the motivation to win the IWS Tag Team Titles. Now, a year later, Twiggy puts everything on the line, his passion; his dreams; his health to take the IWS belt. In the other corner, Kevin Steen, no matter how much he likes Twiggy, will hurt anyone that he has to to defend his belt, even Twiggy, especially Twiggy, because Steen knows that Twiggy values the IWS belt more than his own body.
