WWP Thunderstrike sent this in:

-In what was an epic launch to the upcoming Thunderstrike season beginning on Saturday 13 December, WWP rocked the Big Top Arena at Carnival City on 8 November with a sell-out crowd at hand and an unpredictable, explosive card. In results from the show:

•Ananzi defeated Zizou, Bullet Proof, Joe Dozer, Van Axel, Two-Face, Rooivalk and Jacques Leroy to win the 8-Man Battle Royale
•The Blacksmith defeated The Weasel
•Akilah defeated Alisha to retain the WWP World Ladies Title
•The Playa defeated Lizzard in a 'Ladders are Legal' match to retain the WWP World Cruiserweight Title
•Kilimanjaro and Kwaito Kid defeated Jason Steele and Steve Eden to retain the WWP World Tag Team Titles
•Terri Middoux defeated PJ Black
•Skull defeated Tornado in a Steel Cage match

-As the new season of WWP Thunderstrike approaches on Saturday 13 December from 18:30-19:30 on SABC2, The Weasel will be facing several challenges triggered by his actions at the Carnival City show on 8 November. The SA Hardcore Icon Skull, angered that Weasel had disrespected his opponent in the Steel Cage match by interfering on behalf of Skull, stated that it was the fans that gave him the strength to keep fighting following the punishment he took during the match, which included innumerable chair and light tube shots to his unprotected head and a shocking moment when he fell ten feet off the side of the cage onto the ground when Tornado ducked out of the way. Skull announced that he will be hunting the Weasel from now on and that he will be too tough to pierce for him. The Weasel retaliated and stated that since he is the boss of WWP, there will be no way that Skull can lay his dirty hands on him, and that he will send his own army after Skull for not aligning himself with the Weasel like he should have.

The Weasel then turned his attention to The Blacksmith, who caused an unplanned war to erupt that might threaten the balance of power in WWP as 13 December draws near. Blacksmith had claimed during the Carnival City show that he had been given a raw deal in WWP and that he was about to set his plan in place, which was to take over WWP one way or another. After The Weasel had made an impromptu entrance to reprimand Blacksmith, the two engaged in a short battle in the ring before the Frenchman and Weasel ally Terri Middoux rescued him just before Blacksmith was on the verge of landing a big splash off the top rope. With Middoux comforting The Weasel going up the ramp, Blacksmith raised his arms in victory and called The Weasel a coward, signalling for him to come back to the ring for another thrashing. Following the incident, Weasel threatened Blacksmith, promising that he would be just another victim of the Weasel army come 13 December and that no one crosses the boss. How far will Blacksmith go to rid WWP of The Weasel? What will the controversial Weasel do to further damage Blacksmith's career? Stay tuned to see this story unfold...

-The WWP World Tag Team Champions Kilimanjaro and Kwaito Kid retained their belts on Saturday at Carnival City in a classic tag team bout against Jason Steele and his partner for the night Steve Eden. In typical 'Perfect Heel' fashion, Steele cut a promo praising himself and degrading the fans, then announced that despite their differences, Eden was a former amateur Springbok wrestler, a multi-time champion and a national treasure, therefore at the same level as Steele and a huge threat to the Tag Team Champions. 'The Man Mountain' Kilimanjaro followed this up with a promo of his own and vehemently stated that Steele and Eden would have no way of taking the belts.

After several minutes of domination by Eden and Steele in which Kwaito Kid suddenly found himself in an overwhelming situation, Kilimanjaro got a tag in and exploded onto them with his trademark power moves. Soon after, Kilimanjaro and Kwaito engaged in a heated argument which has recently been a common occurrence. Despite this, Steve Eden found himself in a predicament in the final minute when he took a pumphandle into a snake eyes followed by a massive big boot from Kilimanjaro, which led to the pin. Will Kilimanjaro and Kwaito Kid be able to co-exist on the new season of WWP Thunderstrike? And what do Jason Steele and Steve Eden have planned after this loss? Tune in 13 December from 18:30-19:30 on SABC2 to find out!

-Akilah, the long-reigning WWP World Ladies Champion and the most dominant Ladies division wrestler in African wrestling history, was challenged by fan favourite Alisha at Saturday's Carnival City extravaganza. Confident that she could take the belt from Akilah and shock the world, Alisha cited the old phrase 'It's not the size of the dog in the fight but the size of the fight in the dog'. Little did Alisha know that Akilah was extremely well-prepared, as Alisha was put down in 3-and-a-half seconds, a new record in WWP. Not accepting the loss, Alisha challenged Akilah again and the two squared off in what was an unofficial bout, only to be broken up the vicious Scorn, who went straight after Akilah and sending a message that come the new season on 13 December, Scorn would be the next World Ladies Champion. A new threat awaits Akilah. Could we see her title in the hands of someone else soon? Tune in on Saturday 13 December from 18:30-19:30 on SABC2 to witness the newest chapter in WWP Thunderstrike, which promises to be the most compelling yet.

-Dameon, a former WWP World Heavyweight Champion, made a shocking return to WWP with a new look and attitude. He cut a promo in which he praised himself and called for any of the PJ Black fans in the audience to make their way to the ring. After a young girl entered, Dameon began mocking her and chucked out numerous items from her purse before he grabbed her by the hair, causing PJ to make the rescue. The two locked stares as PJ challenged Dameon to get in the ring, to which Dameon did not respond. Will we see PJ take revenge in the future, or will Dameon devise a deadly plan to gain the upper hand on PJ?

-After a tremendous showing during the 8-Man Royal Rumble match at the Carnival City show on Saturday 8 November in which Ananzi hard-fought his way to a win, WWP officials have crowned Ananzi the new Lion of Africa. With the crowd favouring him throughout the match, Ananzi had them on edge when he almost got eliminated by the 17-year-old prodigy Zizou, until he 'skinned the cat' and made his way back up the ropes before delivering a bomb of his own to Zizou, eliminating him and gaining the much-deserved victory.

Ananzi, an up-and-coming pro wrestler in South Africa with foreign experience under his belt, has been on a roll during the last year and has risen through the singles ranks faster than anyone else in WWP history. With his eye focussed on getting as much gold as possible in the men's heavyweight division, expect Ananzi to aim for the WWP World Heavyweight Champion Fury as well as the WWP World Tag Team Champions Kilimanjaro and Kwaito Kid in the coming year as he battles all comers on the next season of WWP Thunderstrike starting Saturday December 13 from 18:30-19:30 on SABC2.

-The World Cruiserweight Title was on the line in a high-stakes match on Saturday at Carnival City when The Playa defended it against challenger Lizzard in a match in which ladders were legal. With the two combatants having a long history, they were more aware than ever before of one another's moves and strategies, and this produced a smorgasbord of innovative aerial and high-risk attacks. The ladder was the focal point as the two executed manoeuvres from, into and onto the cold steel, in what resembled a crash test site several times during the match. The Playa ended it for good with a well-placed Ace Crusher, and Lizard was left looking at the ceiling once again. Afterward, a mysterious light filled the arena and a monstrous-looking Nightmare stepped out of the deepest, darkest parts of our minds. With Lizard scurrying away as soon as he was touched by the behemoth, it was The Playa's turn and he was choke-bombed and soon carried away to the back, as the fans stared in awe at this stranger. Who is Nightmare and when can we next expect him to pop out of the shadows? Where did Nightmare take The Playa and what will become of him? Tune in on Saturday 13 December for the premiere of the new season of WWP Thunderstrike from 18:30-19:30 on SABC2!

- DECEMBER 13th PREVIEW -

* An Impersonation???

Apparently, at the start of the show, we have heard that Danny Stevens will be there, and will be impersonating a prominent member of the PTW roster. Who will his first 'victim' be? If the rumours that are swirling around are true....this might be a moment that PTW fans worldwide will never forget.

* (Winner gets a PTW World Title shot later that night) : Shabazz vs Marcus Brash

Shabazz has been training hard for his PTW Heavyweight Title rematch in recent months, but it appears, in somewhat of a twist in the tale, that he's going to have to earn it yet again. On December 13th, the winner of this match between Shabazz and Marcus Brash will face off later on in the evening, against the PTW World Champion, Mayhem; as ever accompanied by his evil manager, Dan Edge. We'll find out on the night, just how bad the contenders want it, and what they're willing to sacrifice for a shot at the PTW World Title!

* (Handicap Match) : Druss vs ‘Cowboy’ Adam Hayes & Valek

Druss is the bodyguard of Petey Staniforth, and PTW have had a hard time finding wrestlers brave enough to want to get in the ring with him. Due to Druss's imposing size, it has been considered fair for a handicap match to take place, with the duo of 'Cowboy' Adam Hayes, and Valek; facing off against this dangerous individual. Does this even the score a little, can the impossible occur? Is it even possible for Druss to feel pain? Or are Hayes and Valek in a very scary situation, and out of their depth?

* ("When Monsters Collide") : Donny Bull (450 lbs) vs Ronin (400 lbs)

The quite literally 'biggest' match in PTW's history is about to take place. The largest man in the UK wrestling scene, Donny Bull; vs the downright huge Ronin. And the most scary part of it, is that something has to give. Nowhere else can you see a match of this proportion, a match that the ring may literally not be able to contain. This perhaps, is a spectacle as much as a wrestling match, as an immovable object....meets an immovable object! Who, or what, will budge? Will Houghton Regis ever be the same??!!!??

* (Intergender Match) : Aphrodite vs Mad Mike

This is an intense feud, that has come from LPW, and now has broken into PTW. Aphrodite is PTW's primary female wrestler, who due to her attitude and sheer toughness, often asks to fight the males on the PTW roster. This normally gets Aphrodite respect from most people, but Mad Mike just isn't most people. He doesn't care one bit, and these two competitors will go to any lengths to take the other one out. Yes, this is intergender action....with the volume right up, as only PTW can!

* Diavolo vs Robbie Sincaide

Diavolo is one of the new breed of PTW wrestlers, young, hungry, enthusiastic and talented. Robbie Sincaide falls into all the above categories, his attitude is somewhat foul to say the least, but this does not reflect on his ability in the ring as he is a skilled competitor despite that. What we have here, are two wrestlers looking to take the win and make an point, in Power Trip Wrestling. Many neutrals are saying that this is a dark horse contender for 'match of the night'.

* (4 Team Elimination Match) : G & Del Rico vs Tucker Starr & Kid Glory vs Richard Parliament & Sean Midnight vs James Dahmer & Chris Midas

In the battle to be PTW's most dominant tag team, four teams will face off in an elmination match, on December 13th. James Dahmer and Chris Midas are a new team to PTW, and hoping to make what would be the ultimate impact on the tag team scene with a shock win. Richard Parliment and Sean Midnight, are a team built on mutual respect from their match against each other on October 17th.

Tucker Starr and Kid Glory are an exciting team from LPW, looking to make their mark, particularly with Starr's current unbeaten streak in PTW. And G and Del Rico, are Petey Staniforth's personally chosen tag team, who have just turned to the dark side and are looking to justify their new found egotism with a win in this match. It's sure to be wild, as all four teams look to finish 2008 with a bang!

* (PTW World Title) : Mayhem © w/Dan Edge vs ?????

Only one half of this match is for sure, and that is that the PTW World Champion Mayhem, with his manager Dan Edge alongside him; will be defending his title. Will Shabazz finally get the rematch he's been screaming for, and training hard for, since losing the title to Mayhem in June?

Or will the proverbial spanner be thrown into the mechanism of PTW, and 'Marvellous' Marcus Brash beat Shabazz, and get his first title shot in Power Trip Wrestling? Brash carries a growing reputation in the business as a sure fire star for 2009, and would certainly be a credible challenger if victorious in the match with Shabazz.

What is certain, is Mayhem has held the title since early June of 2008, and his reign has been littered with the interference of his manager Dan Edge. These two do not care for ethics and morals, will not let go of the position they're in with the PTW World Title, and will do whatever it takes to hold onto the gold.

* MAIN EVENT (PTW Cruiserweight Title) - Anything Goes (No Disqualification, No Countout) : Kevin Carter (c) w/Shabazz vs Scott Annette w/Petey Staniforth

And then, the main event of the evening. The heat and intensity for this, are off the chart. The personal feelings involved, are powerful. On one side, you have the PTW Cruiserweight Champion, the ultimate home grown success story, an inspiration to all told that they're not "big" enough, to those held down and kept from their dreams; Kevin Carter. He always has the crowd's support and appreciation, and is loved by all.

Except, one man is determined to play games with Kevin's professional life. There's only one person in PTW, with an ego that justifies it's own postcode. He is the most outspoken Luton Town FC fan around, the self professed 'Internet Icon', the man who claims to be the 'best damn manager in the business', Petey Staniforth. Having thrown everything AND the kitchen sink at Kevin Carter, Staniforth then called the stipulations for this match for his client Scott Annette. Carter's retaliation, was to call on the services of no less then Shabazz to be in his corner on the night.

But is Shabazz preoccupied with the PTW World Title situation? Could Kevin Carter have picked the right man for backup....at the wrong time? Or will Shabazz be the quintessential professional, and be able to focus on it all? Scott Annette is a very credible and talented wrestler, despite his attitude, and Kevin Carter needs to be able to focus on this, and him, and not have to worry about any outside the ring situations. In theory, Shabazz is the perfect 'enforcer' to stop this happening.

But as a final twist to the tale, Petey Staniforth is claiming 'a joker card' in his back pocket, that he'll use if necessary. What could it be? How will PTW's last show of 2008 end? To find out first...you'll have to be there!
