Jeff Jarrett was wondering who the masked man was that attacked him last week. Jarrett's attorney, on the phone, told him he hadn't gotten "his report" on him yet. The attorney also told Jeff Jarrett that he could announce the "big news" tonight as well. After the opening video, Mike Tenay and Don West ran down the matches for tonight. Tenay noted that no one had heard from Raven, who was scheduled to team with Sandman against CM Punk & Julio Dinero tonight. They went outside the building, where the masked man from last week, who is now called "El Leon" was brawling with Jarrett. They brawled into the ring, and the Red Shirts ran out to help Jarrett. El Leon fought them off, and escaped through the crowd. Jarrett went and argued with Mike Tenay before security got him to go to the back. America's Most Wanted (Chris Harris & James Storm) vs. Red Shirt Security (Kevin Northcutt & Legend) - Rawhide Whipping Match
Leather straps were attached to the top rope on all four sides of the ring by tethers. They started brawling on the floor before the bell could ring. It quickly settled into a tag match, with both teams using the straps when they got their opponent near one. Later, Harris put Northcutt in a Sharpshooter, while Storm whipped Northcutt. Legend came in and tossed Storm to the floor, then hit Harris with a boot to the face for two. Legend rolled up Harris, but Storm superkicked Legend, and Harris reversed the rollup for the pin at the nine minute mark. Winners: America's Most Wanted. Post Match, the Red Shirts hung Harris over the top rope, and went to give Storm a spike piledriver, but Harris got back in the ring with a chair to run them off. A video on Ultimate X II from last week was shown, interspersed with comments from new X Division Champion Chris Sabin.Scott Hudson interviewed the New Franchise of Michael Shane, Shane Douglas and Traci. Michael said tonight was his first step towards getting the X Division Title back. Shane Douglas said this was another example of politics, and that Shane was forced to defend against three men last week. Douglas also promised Elix Skipper that he would get his "ass franchised". Low Ki vs. Christopher Daniels vs. Michael Shane
This match was to determine the number one contender for the X Division Title. Daniels and Low Ki started arguing as soon as they were both in the ring, even before Shane came out. Low Ki and Daniels went at it at the bell, and Shane, after just watching at first, joined in. However, Shane would just be shoved away so they could get back to hitting each other. We saw that Sandman as in the back looking for Raven. Later, they battled on the ropes, but Shane shoved Daniels to the floor. Shane went for a superkick on Low Ki, but Ki blocked it and hit a rolling kick. Low Ki hit a handspring kick in the corner, then went for the Ki Krusher, but Shane Douglas came down and grabbed Low Ki's leg. This distracted Low Ki, and allowed Shane to hit a superkick for the pin at the eleven minute mark. Winner: Michael Shane.Scott Hudson interviewed AAA's Antonio Pena and Armando Quintaro. They announced that AAA and TNA had reached a promotional agreement. On February 11th, the "America's X Cup" will take place, as four wrestlers from AAA and four wrestlers from the X Division will participate. They showed a video package of AAA highlights. Simon Diamond vs. David Young, Glenn Gilberti as special referee
Gilberti got on the mic and talked about how this match would solve the problems between them, since the loser would be out of their group. Gilberti asked them to shake hands, but Simon refused. Young slapped him, and Simon tackled him to the mat. Simon hit a Russian legsweep for two. Later, Young went to the top rope, but Diamond crotched him. Diamond hit a top rope rana, but Gilberti gave Diamond a stunner, and rolled Young on top of him and counted a quick three at the six minute mark Winner: David Young. Post match, Gilberti and Young worked over Diamond, but Johnny Swinger ran in and helped Diamond run off Gilberti and Young. Scott Hudson tried to interview Jeff Jarrett, who said he had no time for interviews. Jarrett started asking Callis about the masked man, then told Kid Kash he wanted Chris Vaughn to sign allegiance to him tonight "in his own blood". Shane Douglas, with Traci, vs. Elix Skipper
Skipper hit a lariat in the corner early, and a somersault mule kick. Shane tripped Skipper into the middle turnbuckle. Sandman was shown outside on his phone, trying to get in touch with Raven. Douglas gave Skipper a long vertical suplex, then turned it into a gourdbuster. Douglas hit a rolling reverse neck snap. Douglas put Skipper in a neck vice, then hit a TKO. Skipper was clutching at his neck. Douglas kicked at Skipper, but Skipper came back with a side kick. Traci grabbed Skipper's leg, and Skipper went after her, but that allowed Shane to hit a full nelson forward legsweep, then put Skipper in a full nelson style camel clutch. Skipper tapped out at the three minute mark. Winner: Shane Douglas. Post match, Shane wouldn't release the hold, so Low Ki ran in and attacked Douglas. Low Ki and Douglas fought on the floor, and Michael Shane came out and started fighting with Skipper. Christopher Daniels came in and ran off Michael Shane and Shane Douglas. The former members of XXX stared each other down. Daniels and Skipper shook hands, and Skipper and Low Ki shook hands, but Low Ki refused to shake Daniels' hand, and walked away. Scott Hudson interviewed AJ Styles, who thanked the fans for voting him Mr. TNA. He promised to earn a NWA World Title match tonight, and said that "losing was not an option". A video package on how Kid Kash was recruiting people for Jeff Jarrett was shown. Kash was shown in the back, annoyed that Don Harris laid him out last week, costing him a match with Chris Vaughn. Kid Kash vs. Chris Vaughn
Kash came out and shoved around Tiny the timekeeper again, forcing him to sign a declaration that he was on Jarrett's side. Chris Vaughn ran out and attacked Kash to start their match. Vaughn dropkicked Kash and hit a springboard leg lariat for two. Kash came right back, hitting a double leg fisherman's style neckbreaker for two. Kash pulled Vaughn's T-Shirt over his head and chopped him repeatedly. Later, Vaughn went for a superplex, but Kash hit him low. Kash hit some headbutts, then delivered a bodyslam while standing on the top rope. Kash hit the Moneymaker (double underhook piledriver) for the win at the seven minute mark. Winner: Kid Kash. Kash put a pen in Vaughn's hand and "signed" his name on the declaration. Kash also rubbed Vaughn's blood on the contract. Tiny the timekeeper ran in, and attacked Kash, unfortunately taking off his shirt while doing so. Kash couldn't slam Tiny, and Tiny speared Kash and started punching him. Kash recovered quickly, and started beating down Tiny. Don Harris ran in and attacked Kash, leading to the Red Shirts running in to attack Harris. America's Most Wanted ran in and attacked the Red Shirts. The Redshirts were run off, as Harris & AMW checked on Vaughn.Scott Hudson interviewed Raven, or so we thought, as "Raven" took off his hood, revealing James Mitchell. Mitchell said Raven is in hell and would not be here tonight, and that Sandman should back out of the scheduled tag match tonight. Punk and Dinero walked in, and told Sandman he could save himself tonight by backing out. CM Punk & Julio Dinero, with Father James Mitchell, vs. Sandman, Singapore Canes on a Pole Match
Sandman did his usual beer drinking entrance through the crowd. Raven's music then played, but he didn't come out. Sandman fought off Punk and Dinero, two on one, tossing both men to the floor. Sandman tossed both men into the guardrails, then avalanched them against the steel. Later, Punk and Julio hit a legdrop/backbreaker combo, then went and got the canes. Punk and Dinero took turns hitting cane shots, but Sandman came back, hitting Russian legsweeps on both men, then hitting both with cane shots. Mitchell got on the ring apron, distracting Sandman, and allowing Punk and Dinero to hit a double superkick for the pin at the five minute mark. Winners: CM Punk & Julio Dinero. Post-match, Punk and Dinero beat on Sandman with the canes until security made them leave. Scott Hudson interviewed Erik Watts & Goldylocks. Watts said that Goldylocks needs to stay in the back so he can take care of business. Goldylocks didn't want to. Watts insisted that she stay in the back, so he could concentrate on the match. Goldylocks said Watts was breaking up with her. Watts said he wasn't. Goldylocks said she would not be ignored, and walked off. Watts said he needed to concentrate on winning. Hudson said "Like sand through the hourglass...."Back in the ring, Sandman said that he never thought he would have to "deal with the Devil", but since he couldn't depend on Raven, he would have to take matters into his own hands. Sandman said that next week, he was going to bring Balls Mahoney to TNA. Mike Tenay & Don West were talking about next week's show, when they were interrupted by Don Callis, who announced that Johnny Fairplay from Survivor would be coming to TNA. A video package on Fairplay was shown, calling him "the most hated man in America"! Surviror's Johnny Fairplay is coming to TNA next week to sign a contract with the promotion!Scott Hudson interviewed Jeff Jarrett and Abyss, with Jarrett psyching up Abyss to take out Watts and Styles tonight. Erik Watts & AJ Styles vs. Abyss & Jeff Jarrett
If Styles' team wins, he gets an NWA World Title shot. If Jarrett's team wins, Watts has to step down as NWA Director Of Authority. Styles immediately went at it on the floor, while Watts and Jarrett went at it in the ring. Watts teased the chokeslam, but Jarrett raked his eyes, so Watts clotheslined him to the floor instead. Styles and Abyss got in the ring, with Styles giving Abyss a rana after standing on his back, and a tornado DDT. Later, El Leon showed up, and brawled through the crowd with Jarrett. Styles and Watts worked over Abyss, who kept kicking out of covers. Goldylocks came out and started arguing with Watts, then turned and hit Abyss with a low blow. Watts pulled Abyss throat first across the top rope, and Styles hit a springboard sunset flip to pin Abyss at the ten minute mark. Winners: AJ Styles & Erik Watts. Don Callis came out and protested, saying he would quit TNA if this decision wasn't overturned. Watts got on the mic and said if this decision WAS overturned, and Styles didn't get his title shot, he would quit. Jarrett got on the mic and said Callis was important to TNA, because with him went Jarrett, Kash and Johnny Fairplay. Jarrett said for that reason, the decision will be overturned, and the board will agree with Callis.
