WWE releases Brian Lawler and Judgment Day buyrate not expected to be good
On Tuesday, May 11, 2004 at 11:14 AM EST -Brian Lawler (Brian Christopher/Grandmaster Sexay) was reportedly released again by the WWE last night. Lawler had recently returned to the company, but drew some heat this past weekend when he showed up late to one of the Raw house show events. This isnt the first time Lawler has been axed by the WWE, as he was released back in 2001 after being arrested in Canada and charged with posession of illegal drugs.
-WWE officials are said to be preparing themselves for what could be the lowest pay-per-view buyrate in recent WWE history with this coming weekends Judgment Day. Smackdown has been in a ratings slump as of late and many backstage are viewing the main event push for John Bradshaw Layfield as a disaster.Credit: 1Wrestling.com
