- The following match took place on WWE Sunday Night Heat prior to Bad Blood on Pay Per View:

  • Batista vs. Maven

    Winner: Batista

    - The match ended when Maven attempted a move off the top rope, but Batista took him out with a clothesline. Batista then connected with the sitdown powerbomb for the win.

    WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
  • La Resistance (c's) vs. Chris Benoit & Edge

    Winners via DQ: Chris Benoit & Edge
    Winners & STILL World Tag Team Champions: La Resistance

    - The match ended when Benoit had Grenier in the Crossface when Kane's pyro went off. Kane came down to the ring and attacked both Benoit and Edge with chokeslams. The referee called for the bell and Kane left both Benoit and Edge in pain. La Resistance retain the World Tag Team Titles.

    - Backstage, Eric Bischoff told The Coach that William Regal would not be allowed at ringside during the Eugene vs. Coach match tonight. Eugene happened to be overhearing the conversation when Bischoff said some mean things about him. Bischoff told Eugene he didn't mean what he said and was only trying to protect him. Bischoff gave Eugene the choice to either go home or wrestle tonight. Eugene said he wanted to wrestle, hugging Bischoff and leaving.

  • Chris Jericho vs. Tyson Tomko w/ Trish Stratus

    Winner: Chris Jericho

    - The match ended when Trish got up on the ring apron, Tomko charged at Jericho and ended up taking out Trish instead. Jericho then connected with an enzuigiri kick to get the win.

    WWE INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
  • Randy Orton (c) vs. Shelton Benjamin

    Winner & STILL WWE IC Champion: Randy Orton

    - Before the match started, Orton cut a promo backstage gloating about how he has held the IC Title longer than anyone in the past seven years. He said Benjamin will never have greatness like him. Orton had the camera follow him out to the ring and demanded the fans respect him. He did the classic heel spot where he slips on the ropes. The match ended when Orton held onto Benjamin's tights after a roll through from a cross-body to get the pin and retain the IC Title.

    - Backstage, Eric Bischoff kicked Matt Hardy out of the arena so he wouldn't interfere in the World Title Match tonight between Chris Benoit and Kane.

    WWE WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
  • Victoria (c) vs. Gail Kim vs. Lita vs. Trish Stratus

    Winner & NEW WWE Women's Champion: Trish Stratus

    - The match ended when Lita connected with a big DDT on Gail Kim, but Trish rolled up Lita from behind to get the pin and become the new Women's Champion.

  • Eugene vs. The Coach

    Winner: Eugene

    - The match ended when Garrison Cade came to the ringside area, distracting Eugene by tearing apart his stuffed animal. The Coach tried to take advantage by charging, but Eugene moved and Coach took out Cade. Eugene gave The Coach the Rock Bottom and People's Elbow for the win. After the match, Eugene gave Cade a Stunner.

    WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
  • Chris Benoit (c) vs. Kane

    Winner & STILL World Heavyweight Champion: Chris Benoit

    - Big back and forth match that saw Kane sit up after Benoit's three german suplexes and headbutt off the top. The match ended when Benoit applied the Crossface, Kane broke out two separate times and Benoit quickly rolled him up for a quick pin to retain the World Heavyweight Title.

    HELL IN A CELL MATCH
  • Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels

    Winner: Triple H

    - The match ended up going a solid 47 minutes inside the cage. Lots of near falls and back and forth action between the two. A ladder and table were eventually brought into the mix that saw HBK do an elbow off the top of the ladder onto Triple H, breaking the table. Both kicked out of each others finishers and put over how exhausted they were after hitting them. The match finished when Triple H hit the Pedigree on HBK, barely getting enough strength to put his arm over HBK's chest to get the 1, 2, 3. After the match, the referee had to pull Triple H off HBK. Evolution carried Triple H out of the ring while HBK attempted to recover as the show went off the air.
