WWE to run another combined event, WWE.com mistake + Rock movie
On Sunday, January 2, 2005 at 4:27 PM EST - In addition to the WWE running a combined RAW & SmackDown taping on January 31st in San Jose, CA, the company will also be doing the same on February 6th at the Sullivan Arena in Achorage, Alaska according to The Anchorage Daily News. The newspaper plugged Ric Flair, Shawn Michaels, Kurt Angle, Triple H, The Undertaker and others as being at the events. This show will not be taped however and will simply be a House Show event.
It is interesting to note that it takes place on Super Bowl Sunday with tickets topping off at $100 for the show. That is even higher than tickets for House Show events at Madison Square Garden. It should be noted that the reason they are running the show in Alaska is due to the company coming on its way back from Japan for TV tapings.

Mike Siciliano sent in the following... I saw the trailer of Rock's upcoming movie "Be Cool" starring Travolta and a cast of thousands, (literally), prior to the movie "Ocean's Twelve" that I paid to see on New Year's Day. Rock's appearance is drastically different in this movie, he wears a 'fro! But, there was clip of Rock giving Travolta the patented people's eyebrow, and then, and only then, did you realize whom you were dealing with. Rock's female 'costar', as it will, I didn't catch her name, called Rock's schitck 'trying to be black', when I think in the movie they pawn it off as 'almost gay.' It's definitely a major twist in acting roles, and a complete 180 degree turn from Chris Vaughn and Walking Tall.
