More on Abyss/TNA situation - requests raise, WWE possibly interested
On Thursday, January 6, 2005 at 1:13 AM EST - To add on the story we had up on WrestleView last night (Click Here), it appears Abyss confronted TNA officials about getting a raise at the Impact! tapings on Tuesday night in Orlando, FL. He claimed to have gotten an offer from WWE and was later sent home from the tapings.
Because of this taking place on such short notice, officials ended up running around and changing the taping schedule at the last second. Abyss (whose real name is Chris J. Parks) was scheduled to talk with TNA officials yesterday about possibly staying with the company, but many expect him to leave. It should be noted that there is some heat on Bob Ryder regarding the situation as he is in charge of the contracts with all talent.
