- Although previous reports stated his contract had already expired, it appears Abyss' contract with TNA expires on January 30th and TNA officials are doing their best to get him to agree on another deal to stay with the company. Seeing as they have already invested a good amount of time into his character, as well as into licensing with action figures and t-shirts, it would only make sense that they would try to get him to stay.

However, come January 30th he would have the option to negotiate with World Wrestling Entertainment and many are under the impression that he would be signed to a deal. It should be noted that both Abyss and Jeff Jarrett are scheduled to work tomorrow's Cyberspace Wrestling Federation event in Wayne, New Jersey.

- There remains no update regarding Johnny Swinger's current status with TNA. He reportedly asked for a release from the company this past week at the Impact! tapings.

- The word within TNA yesterday was that nothing has yet to come of Bill Behrens' meeting with WWE officials on Wednesday regarding his NWA Wildside promotion in Georgia becoming a developmental territory for WWE.
