Joe Mascaro sent in the following... Just wanted to pass this along about Abyss, who is wrestling at an International Wrestling Cartel (IWC) event in Wilmerding, PA on February 26, 2005. This is from the IWC website (iwcwrestling.com):

"The IWC Title Match has been announced as "Madman" Shirley Doe's string of title defenses don't get any easier. Doe's next contender has been named, and it's literally and figuratively, one of the biggest names to debut in IWC in a long time, as Doe defends against the 6'8" 350 lb. monster Abyss! Abyss has been the hottest most talked about subject on newsboards and hotlines for days upon days and has arguably become the most sought after free agent in professtional wrestling since the days of the Monday Night Wars. However, despite all the controversy, the monster has his sights set on the IWC Heavyweight Title and Shirley Doe has the fight of his career ahead of him on Feb. 26."

Klinton Imai sent in the following... Hey, I was on deansplanet.com the other day, and I came across a column by one of the writers. It was a list of ten things(actually 11) that can make wrestling better. The funny thing is that he did this list a day after last week's RAW. And all of his stuff is true. Anyway if your interested in reading it you can click here to check it out. Aloha.

Brett Armstrong sent in the following... While watching Raw on Monday night I saw a promo for cheap WWE DVDs at Zellers. The ones on the ad are actually sort of wrong. They showed the wrong boxes for featured matches. Anyways here’s what I bought and at what price then I’ll list a few other I saw.

$9.99 (the following):

No Way Out 2004 (Brock vs. Eddie)
Armageddon 2003 (Kane vs. Goldberg vs. HHH)
Judgement Day 2004 (Eddie vs. JBL)
No Mercy 2002 (Brock vs. Taker Hell in a Cell)
Vengeance 2002 (Rock vs. Taker vs. Angle)

$12.99 (the following):

Mick Foley Greatest Hits and Misses
Bloodbath: Wrestling’s Most Incredible Cage Matches

Other ones I saw… prices were either $7.99 $9.99 or $12.99:

Divas South of the Border (and Undressed, possibly a beach one too)
Wrestlemania XIX
Bad Blood 2004 (HHH vs. HBK Hell in a Cell)
Unforgiven 2003 (HHH vs. Goldberg)
Global Warning Tour
Before they were Superstars 2
Rebellion (Edge vs. Heyman and Brock)
Brock Lesnar: Here comes the pain

There were also some VHS tapes (around $4 I think):

Raw X: Tenth Anniversary
Unforgiven 2003
Some others

For anyone that hasn’t bought WWE DVDs in the past, these are great deals, most of these would cost $20 even though their kinda old. I find them great to just throw on while I’m doing other things. They won’t last long, Walmart had a similar deal last year with less selection and they didn’t last. Selection will likely vary by store, but as I think this deal just started you won’t find much more than what I’ve listed. All locations seem to get the same ones, but of course they run out of some faster than others. If you don’t have a Zellers nearby you could try WalMart because they own Zellers I think so they might very well have the deal again. Thought this was kinda big, at least for me so I figured once I bought all mine I’d tell everyone else, wink.
