- TNA star Hector Garza was released without bail yesterday in Houston, TX. The judge presiding over the case ruled that the nine days Garza has been incarcerated covered the set bail of $1,000. Thomas Mora, Garza's counsel, is currently petitioning to have Garza allowed to travel to Orlando, FL for the Final Resolution PPV this Sunday and then be allowed to return to Houston immediately following the event. If this isn't allowed by the court, Garza is expected to be deported out of the country tomorrow. Should this take place before the charges are resolved, it could see Garza take a longer absence from TNA and the United States market as a whole.

As we reported on WrestleView last week, Garza was arrested in Houston, TX on January 3rd on charges of possession of a controlled substance - which turned out to be anabolic steroids Primobolan and Deca-Durabolin. When Garza was approached about the two bottles he was traveling with by immigration agents, he presented the bottles and was later detained after failing to carry the prescription for both. It should also be noted that the bottles were not in their original packaging and according to code, any medication in Mexico is supposed to be sold in its original packaging so no one can attempt to change the contents inside to pass through security.

As a result of this entire situation, Garza's scheduled match against Scott Hall at Final Resolution this Sunday was pulled and Jeff Hardy instead replaced him with Roddy Piper as the special guest referee. He may make an appearance at the show if the petition in question is given the okay. Should Garza be deported from the United States, he is scheduled to compete in Mexico City on January 21st in Arena Mexico at a tournament of second generation wrestlers.
