- Dave Meltzer of WrestlingObserver.com is reporting that former Southern wrestling star Pez Whatley passed away on Tuesday in a Chattanooga, Tennessee hospital. Whatley was best known for his days in Georgia and Carolina territories in the 1980's. He later worked behind the scenes in WCW.
