Puerto Rico star & former NWA Tag Champion at Impact tapings
On Tuesday, March 1, 2005 at 6:07 PM EST - IWA Puerto Rico star Nuevo Gran Apollo is backstage at the TNA Impact! tapings tonight in Orlando, FL at Universal Studios. Apollo is expected to return fulltime with the company at this point.
For those who kept up with TNA in its beginning, Apollo was a regular for the promotion in 2002, but suffered a serious back injury that kept him sidelined for a few months. He returned to TNA in January of 2004 as the masked character El Leon before unmasking and winning the NWA World Tag Team Titles a short time later with former WWE star D'Lo Brown.
