Hello there grapple fans. Welcome to another edition of everyone's favourite column. In This Very Ring....

Joy of joys! Today our tickets to the Raw house show in Hull arrived. Although I was pretty pissed that we couldn't get tickets to the SmackDown taping that is taking place over here I am stoked that we got floor seats for a House show. Road Trip time again baby!

This weeks Raw was another stellar show with top notch action and promos all the way with surprises and unanswered questions at every turn. Let's take a closer look at some of the stuff that went down this week. After hardly breaking in to a sweat while beating Maven, Chris Jericho threw down a gauntlet in proposing the fist ever six man ladder match. Now, with us already knowing that it's a ladder match that means that something must be dangling from the roof for the grapplers to be going after. Seeing as the WWE doesn't have Judy Bagwell on their roster then it looks like it will have to be a title. Six people could indicate that it could be three tag teams going at it for the Gold but with Jezza not in a regular team at the moment I got to believe that a singles title will be on the line. Shelton Benjamin's I.C Title. Benji needs a high profile match to take him and the I.C title to the next level. If it's a ladder match then it would be wrong of the WWE not to include both Edge and Christian, the kings of the ladder match in there. Christian too needs that next level match and Edge will need something big to keep his momentum going after losing to HBK in a superb street fight. That takes care of four of the six so what about the other two? A couple of different options there. Throwing Benoit and Hassan in there probably makes sense as Benny has also shown his worth in ladder bouts and Muhammad, although a wild card is feuding with Benny and is so in need of something to enhance his in ring standing. And we all know how a good ladder bout can do that. The second idea that popped in to my head(Glenn's too) would be to replace Hassan with a returning Matt Hardy. The Hardy name is another that's synonymous with ladder bouts and I am sure that he would bring a whole lot more to a ladder bout than Hassan. The only problem I see with Matt Hardy being in there is that would he really want to risk himself so soon after returning from injury? Knowing Matt he would jump right in. Plus with both Matt and Edge in there you know that some of the shots are going to be stiff. Whatever happens it looks like Jezza has sown the seeds for a potential show stealer.

Hogan is back! The Immortal one is finally going in to the WWE Hall of Fame. About time too. With the obvious exception of the Rattlesnake no other grappler has made the kind of mark on the business that Hulk Hogan has. And it's safe to say that no one, not even Hall, Nash, HBK or HHH have played the political game like Hogan either. Hogan is a true Icon. But can I see this icon just being inducted in to the Hall of Fame and leaving it at that. Hell no. There are so many different scenarios that Hogan could do at WrestleMania. The top three things I personally would like to see Hogan in Mania are: Hogan dropping that Big leg on Vince McMahon one last time. Hogan going one on one with another guy that should be in the Hall of Fame, Randy Savage. Let those two settle it once and for all. Or the real big one. Hogan Vs Steve Austin. Icon Vs Icon. The two biggest guns in wrestling going one on one. Whatever happens with Hogan you can always guarantee that it will be something the fans will be talking about for a long time after.

Jeeze, Roddy Piper is back too! And he's bringing Piper's Pit back with him as well! As much as I enjoy Jericho's Highlight Reel, Piper's Pit is the standard which all interview segments are measured against. And as far as guests go, they don't get much bigger than the Texas Rattlesnake, 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin. With the unpredictability of Piper's Pit you can bet you last dollar on the fact that just an interview it will not be. Although at his best as a heel, I can't see Piper getting any sort of heel reaction at all at Mania. Austin is going to blow the roof of the arena plain and simple. So there is no way that these two are going to go at each other in anyway other than a few barbs being thrown, so the simple answer is to have some one interrupt Pipers Pit. Someone who has a manager so there is someone for both Piper and Austin to abuse. Hmmm... A Stunner for Hassan and the sleeper for Daivari anyone? That way it would keep Hassan away from wrestling but still on the card and the fans would go absolutely nuts seeing those dirty foreign heels getting theirs from 'Stone Cold' and 'Hot Rod'. Everyone's a winner. Huzzah.

It looks like we might see the return of the true 'Legend Killer' at Mania as all the signs are pointing to a Randy Orton Undertaker showdown. Good. It's about time Orton got back on track, and a return as the cocky 'Legend Killer' prick attitude that made him popular in the first place is just what's in order. Fans don't want to see a bland heroic babyface Orton that asks for advice from past it grapplers. Fans want to see an unpredictable charismatic tweener kicking the ass of legendary grapplers. As much as RAW and SD guys showing up on the opposite brands is now slowly becoming the norm again and is slightly losing it's lustre, Randy Orton needs to turn up on SD as the true 'Legend Killer' and jump 'Taker and give him a good old Orton whooping. Maybe spitting on him for good measure too. None of this face Vs Face respect malarkey either. Randy may enjoy the role of babyface more but right now he needs to go back to what made him beloved by the fans in the first place and then maybe try a turn a year or so down the line. Randy is a natural heel. He has a heel look, a natural cockiness and arrogance about him and a heel gimmick that just doesn't sit well in his current babyface standing. If Orton is hearing the faint sounds of boos now there is no doubt that if he does face the Undertaker at Mania those faint sounds will turn in to full on loud chants so instead of working against that, just go with it. Play the 'Legend Killer' to the maximum and those boos will be your cheers and you will be on track again to being the WWE's next big thing. Even if Randy Orton is turned and is regaining his stride it will all be for naught if the Undertaker and 'The Powers That Be' doesn't do the right thing. Orton simply has to win. A loss to 'Taker would set Randy back so far he may as well head off to OVW(and a spot as one of the 'security guards' that pop up now and then). Yes, 'Taker has never lost at Mania but damn it. 'Taker would lose nothing from being RKO'd and pinned and it would be so good for the company as a whole if Orton won so, 'Taker, you keep going on about how you're a locker room leader, show some leadership skills and do a clean JOB for the good of the WWE.

It's Time to take a look what's doing the rounds on the 'net in the Rumour Mills....

Although down in the dumps, Matt Hardy is glad that his good friend Edge seems to be in such a happy mood lately.

HHH likes his new Goatee style and he says he didn't realise that Harley Race used have one exactly the same.

Batista is now officially a main eventer as he was seen 'Arriving late' this week for Raw.

Sting is set to turn up at Mania and show the world the original 'Stinger Splash'.

WrestleMania is set to run for five hours so as to accommodate Hunters wish to have his usual hour long Mania entrance.

With Mark Henry injured, WWE creative need to re think who they want Chris Masters to 'take care of' next.

Rey said he was confused after being told by Chavo that Eddie is going to turn on him and that he should never trust a Guerrero.

Sources say that it wasn't the casket match with the Undertaker that injured HBK's back, it was actually carrying schmo's like Edge to decent matches that did it.

My good lady is looking forward to Batista beating the living crap out of Flair next week. Flair is not.
