Hello friends. Here we are again, it's In This Very Ring....
Jeeze, what a hectic time it's been. Between the Nintendo DS being released, an Easter sale to prepare and a special promotion to get ready I have hardly had time to scratch my ass. But fear not as I am back to rescue you all.

This Monday saw Randy Orton leap, two footed, back in to heeldom. After fleeting with the notion for the past few weeks The Rand finally pulled the trigger on the turn with an RKO on his supposed girl(in real life too?)Stacy Keibler. Props for Keibler for taking it full on(oooh matron) and props for Orton for going back in to the heel role even though it was said that he prefers being the Babyface. As much as I am looking forward to the match I am in equal parts kind of dreading it in case the Undertaker wins. Taker needs to do the Job. And I said before The Rand needs the win to put him back on track. With reports of Orton heading for shoulder surgery immediately after 'Mania fills me with worry too. Will the WWE have some 'creative' finish for the bout which would explain why Orton isn't around for a while? Judging by all the spooky happenings that the Undertaker has been doing to spook out Randy, who knows.

It's not very often that an Interview segment gets as much buzz concerning at as a match does but the special WrestleMania Piper's Pit with 'Stone Cold' is doing just that. To be honest I'm really looking forward to seeing what actually goes down. There are so many variables and scenarios that have been banded about it's hard to figure out what to expect. Ones things for sure, It could end up being one of the Stunner Assisted highlights of the night. But the big question is what happens beyond 'Mania? Will the 'Hot Rod' and the 'Rattlesnake be back on a semi/regular basis? Certainly there is enough room in the WWE for two characters like Austin and Piper and they would be a guaranteed boost for either brand(with SmackDown being the obvious choice to boost). But They would both have to be in a non wrestling role as Austin and especially Piper are in no fit state to go in the squared circle. Piper has his pit to fall back on so that's all good, but what about 'Stone Cold'? The GM route has been done to death so that's a no-no. I have always thought that Austin would make a good manager. Whether it be of just one guy or a bunch, Austin could be a huge asset in the elevating of some talent. Talk about getting the star rub from one of the best in the business ever. If it works then great, if it doesn't then at least they have tried. Surly there is nothing to lose.

Now, I have no trouble with Divas being Divas and just prancing around. There has to be something for everyone. But what I do object to is when time is being wasted at the expense of a more worthy cause. How come that the WWE tag titles(at the moment) aren't being defended at WrestleMania and Playboy cover girl Christy Hemme is facing WWE Women's Champion Trish Stratus. Hemme is so far off being anywhere near ready for a match let alone a high profile WWE title match at the biggest show of them all. Hemme's involvement in this weeks Raw was embarrassing. She didn't know what the hell she was doing. From standing in the wrong place to not being ready to do moves to just standing around looking clueless. There is some serious training to be done between now and 'Mania and god help us if Lita has a real hand in the training. One move in three weeks anyone? Even though I want to throw the remote control at the TV every time Hemme comes down to the ring doing that stupid point and skip jumpy thing she does, I still remember how Trish Stratus started out and how far she's come. Maybe, just maybe there is hope.

A special mention must go to Shelton Benjamin, who, even though he is IC champ he has seen his mega push slow down somewhat, he still gives a hundred percent every time he steps in the ring. And this week was no exception. Shelton was on fire during the tag bout with Jezza, Edge and Chrissy, executing one flawless move after another with the flipping plancha being an absolute peach of a move. The sleeper/back/neckbreaker move was pretty sweet too. It's nice when you see guys doing different moves in different bouts(A la' HBK and his special occasion only moonsault bodyblock). I'm pretty sure come 'Mania, Benjamin will have one or two more (ladder assisted) moves up his sleeves.
