- PWInsider.com's Dave Scherer is reporting that Jeff Jarrett is currently in New York City and sources close to what is being said are stating he is meeting with Viacom executives. To even further the story, that same strong source has stated that Jarrett is meeting with Viacom about possibly getting TNA a spot on Spike TV after WWE programming leaves this September. The word is that they would like a timeslot on a Monday night, but that has yet to be confirmed.

It should be noted that Jarrett's presence in New York has not been kept a secret for a reason as some close to the situation believe that Viacom wants WWE to know they are meeting with Jarrett about a possible deal. This is obviously due to the way both parties broke off all negotiations earlier this year. Although nothing is set in stone at this time, the mere fact that Jarrett is speaking with Viacom executives shows that some interest in bringing TNA to Spike TV is on the table and could bring WWE competition for the first time on cable since 2001.

For those wondering about WWE's current television status, the company is still leaving Spike TV in September and has yet to finalize a deal with another network (USA Network looks to be where they are headed, although not confirmed).
