More on Dusty Rhodes' future as head booker, July PPV, AJ Styles push
On Monday, April 18, 2005 at 2:03 PM EST - To add on a story we had up on WrestleView.com this weekend, it shouldn't come as a surprise if Dusty Rhodes is removed as the head booker of TNA very soon. From what is understood at this point, both parties will be happy if that does end up taking place. The general opinion among many is that Rhodes is unhappy about getting heat for ideas that weren't his to being with (such as every match at the Lockdown PPV next Sunday being inside a Steel Cage) when others thought of it first. When it comes down to it though, many of the things Rhodes promised to do once he took over such as putting more focus on the X Division ended up not taking place, with the exception of giving Christopher Daniels a big push in the division. It will be interesting to say the least to see what goes down at the PPV this Sunday and the Impact! tapings that follow it on the 26th regarding the current booking direction of the company involving Rhodes.
- Although no PPV dates have been announced beyond the "Slammiversary" event on June 19 (which marks TNA's third year as a company), it's expected that an annoucement will come regarding the July PPV very soon.
- AJ Styles is scheduled for another big push in the next several months following the Lockdown PPV.
