Kid Kash gives exclusive comments to WrestleView after TNA release...
On Wednesday, April 20, 2005 at 1:11 AM EST - Paul Nemer and myself spoke to Kid Kash last night to get some comments on his recent TNA release. Kash wanted to set the record straight and let everyone know that it was a mutual agreement, not a firing as noted on some "other" wrestling websites. Kash has been asking for his release for over a year and his latest release request was done approximately three weeks ago on April 5 at the Impact! tapings in Orlando, FL at Universal Studios. He finally got the release yesterday afternoon around five.
Despite having been unhappy in TNA for a while, Kash and TNA ended on good terms. Kash had been in TNA for three years and felt that he wasn't treated to his full potential, although Kash appreciates what TNA has done for him. In addition to his overall frustration with the company, Kash also wanted the opportunity to work elsewhere (such as Japan or Puerto Rico), but his deal with TNA prevented him from doing that.
One of the key things he hammered home was that TNA was not utilizing talent such as himself in the right way and he instead had to elevate himself each time he performed. "Someone else should get a piece of that pie," said Kash.
