- According to recent reports on Latino Review, The Rock is currently being picked to star in the upcoming "Masters of the Universe" film that will be directed by John Woo in the summer of 2006. The Asian newspaper Talamua is being credited for the news, noting that Rock is currently working on the upcoming "Spy Hunter" film with John Woo, who reportedly wants Rock for the part.

For you movie buffs out there, a "Masters of the Universe" film was released in 1987 starring Dolph Lundgren as He-Man and a very young Courteney Cox. For those completely unaware of the Masters of the Universe, it was a very popular cartoon/toy line that followed the adventures of He-Man in the fictional world of Eternia. The "bad guy" of the series was known as Skeletor. Before The Rock was even considered for the role, some rumors made the rounds in Hollywood that Triple H would be getting involved following his role in "Blade: Trinity" earlier last year.
