Marque A. Allen, who was a doctor for ECW, recently gave an opinion on what may have lead to Chris Candido's death. Allen is an expert on leg and ankle surgeries. Note that this is not definately what happened, rather an expert's opinion.

-Allen says that it is not uncommon for a blood clot to form in calf muscles following surgery. Walking or movement of the leg will work to keep blood moving in the leg and prevent clotting. If Candido was in a car or airplane for some time following his surgery, and it should be believed he was, as he was in Orlando on Tuesday for Impact! tapings, but died in New Jersey, and had his leg bent and stationary during his car or plane ride, Allen feels it is entirely possible that that could've led to the formation of a blood clot, which is believed to be the cause of Candido's untimely death.
