WWC in Puerto Rico (World Wrestling Council) recently announced that they would be holding a special event called "Friday Madness" on May 20 that will feature a main event grudge match between "Rowdy" Roddy Piper and WWE star Carlito Caribbean Cool. The match will be playing off the confrontation between both Piper and Carlito from WrestleMania 21 during The Piper's Pit segment. Dory Funk Jr. vs. Carlos Colon is also being rumored for the event.

A full page ad for the upcoming ECW One Night Stand PPV on June 12 is currently in the latest edition of SmackDown magazine. The ad uses the classic ECW logo and lists the date and time for the event (8pm Eastern/7pm Central). As noted before, WWE plans on releasing an ECW magazine to help hype the pay per view as well.

The latest edition of Lucha Magazine in Mexico had a headline/article noting that Essa Rios (Mr. Aguila) is back on his way to WWE. Rios had a run in WWE from 1997 to December of 2001 until being released by the company. He has since stayed active in Mexico and most recently in TNA. There still remains no word on how accurate this article is, although many rumors have been making the rounds that Rios and Juventud Guerrera were possibly coming to WWE after Psicosis and Super Crazy were recently signed to contracts with the company. Many of these lucha stars are scheduled to debut later this year in what looks to be preparation for the new deal WWE signed with Telemundo, although original reports stated the only WWE programming on the channel would be spanish versions of RAW every week.
